La Chiva Loca

The taco stand making tortillas on site is a welcome addition to the 90501 zip code where a burrito, three tacos and a drink will cost you about $20.La Chiva Loca usually sets up around 6:00 PM Wednesdays through Sundays under a red tent. There's another vendor, Carnitas El Chilango, that covers the exact area using a white tent and known for selling carnitas during lunch on Thursdays and Saturdays. And don't be confused if you see another red tent during lunch hours, that's another taco vendor. I'm a fan of the cabeza burrito, lengua taco, and quesataco. There are tables and chairs for those wanting to enjoy their food hot, and a self serve area for salsas and limes. The food comes out quick and the staff are friendly.
