Tried the other local location for what has become my new favorite carnicería. It wasn't as busy as the pico rivera location but offered just as many delicious looking treats. We wanted to treat ourselves to a nice big tomahawk and some chorizo and these guys delivered.The butcher that helped me was knowledgeable and threw in some bones for the dogs and some green salsa to go with our order. 10/10 recommend

First time coming here 30 min before they close at they are already closed regardless of their posted hours! Boo came from far right after work, very disappointed hours should be updated if they are going to close early.

Ever since my family and I tried their meat at the 30th annual Downey street fair, I've been meaning to stop by and pick some up. I stopped by today and unfortunately did not have the best experience. Upon my arrival I took a look around and then headed over to line up to get some meat. After a while of waiting with no type of assistance I ask the man who was waiting next to me if I was in the right spot. He advised me I was and that he himself had not been helped and had been waiting for some time. After learning of such I left. What I don't understand is the place was full of employees but not one offered to help/acknowledge the gentleman or me. The place felt more like a hang out spot with no care for the customers. I suppose this will be my first and last visit to this business.

Bought 10lbs of meat today 4/20/24, the meat smells and taste really bad, like it was left out side for weeks, is weird when I saw the meat was brought out from the back and not from the front refrigerator, this is not the first time this happens to me so l have to leave a review, make sure you check your meat before leaving the store

Safe to say that this place is not only amazing because of the time and effort they put to serving the citizens of Downey. I bought 5 pounds of ranchera steak, 3 pounds of tasajo prime and even 2 pounds of pork chops along with corn and flour tortillas. They threw in bonus salsas of verde and rojo for free, I had to ask for bags since I couldn't walk all the way back home but still, carrying 2 bags worth of meat but all of the trip was worth it as I cooked all of the 10 pounds in just a few hours. In the end, you've got four happy costumers willing to come back including me, Mom, Dad, and Sebastian. I'm cheering for you to live on.

Went for the first time this morning as I walked out of coffee bean. Karen was super helpful and very informative. Everything was clean and very well ventilated. The butcher was super helpful as well and don't hesitate to answer all our questions. Will def go back
