La Capilla Mexican Restaurant

My family stopped in to try La Capilla on a Saturday night. The restaurant was packed and had a lively atmosphere - loud conversations, plates of food sizzling, overall great energy!They start you off with fresh (and spicy) tomato salsa and chips. There's a wide variety to choose from on the menu including kids options too. The portions were generous and the food was tasty. We had attentive service as well.My family had a nice time here at La Capilla and enjoyed the food.

Grew up in Torrance. Used to love coming here because their food was great. Since then, I've moved a few miles away. I usually come back about 1 - 2 times a year but my last two times haven't been pleasant. We came on a Thursday, not too busy. We were a party of 6. 4 adults two kids. They seat us in the back room near the restroom area. It is so loud in there you literally have to talk at the top of your lungs to the person sitting in front of you. Literally horrible. My ears were piercing from the noise! Our server, she was rude. I get it, there's a few of us trying to decide what we want to eat but she wore he feelings on her face. The huffing, roll of the eyes and expressions on her face said it all. It was very obvious and made me feel so uncomfortable. Not to mention, trying to order your food in a loud environment, no good. I alost wanted to say something to her, but we're not "like that". She was just plain rude. The food was mediocre. I ordered chili verde and it was bland. No flavor whatsoever. Honestly, I don't see myself ever coming back. Not to mention, adding gratuity to the check is a joke!

I have eaten here a handful of times. First few times were fine enough. Average Cali mex restaurant. Last night however, the food seemed really bland and almost tasteless. My fiancé and I both had crispy chicken tacos, rice and beans. And an order of chili con queso. The chili con queso was practically inedible. The poor quality of the food served last night was enough for us to never go back. And to top it off, we both got crazy food poisoning and have been really sick all night. Buyer beware.

Stop in for some comforting restaurant style Mexican food! Both this location and La Palma's have that old school feel, with all the comforting Mexican dishes, & great service. La Capilla won't disappoint!

I've been coming here since I was a kid. It's been over 20 years! In all of my years, no one else's service compares to Maria Ines. She was so sweet, all smiles and quick with the service. I will always remember tonight and hope to sit in her section for the years to come! Food was as delicious as always and the ambiance hasn't changed. It's welcoming and the perfect place for a date night.

Ordered a chicken burrito. Drove 35 minutes home to discover I was given beef. I was told that I could come back today or another day for a meal replacement. I don't want to come back. I want a refund to my card.

For the 1st we actually got great service we haven't been here in over a year but since we were in the area and wanted good food we decided to try our luck with them again and surprisingly we got really great service this time I wish I had gotten her name but she really nice and friendly and really took care of us the was on top of it constantly checking up on us hopefully when we come back we can ask for her she was In the back room .

Stopped by here last night for dinner before the play in Friends of Torrance theater, since this restaurant is only a 5mins walk across the playhouse. It's a neighborhood restaurant, the food was good! I always try out Chille Relleños in a Mexican restaurant and this one didn't disappoint. The Red Snapper plate was also scrumptious! Filled with Spanish rice, veggies, spices, refried beans and the portions are perfect for sharing. Our server was nice and helpful. The staff was welcoming. Ambiance is more towards the noisy side, the restaurant is with low ceilings. If it's crowded, you'll definitely hear the echo of everyone's voices. Drinks are generously poured. Lots of free parking available.I'll come back for the good food and to try their margaritas for next time.

They service good but the food is delicious. Large helping and nice and hot when received. Must visit and enjoy the food.

Amazing ambience, very attentive service, delicious food, and they threw in a free dessert for my nephew's 18th birthday. I can't wait to go back.
