Food is good, price is honestly bit too much. Inside is pretty dingy & the tables are sticky. Girl with black hair & blonde streaks at the counter is always REALLY obnoxious, all the other staff are awesome. Fire the obnoxious staff & clean your tables

We love L&L as we have eaten at many locations in LA/OC counties. They are all pretty consistent with their food preparation. Like one of the other reviewers said..."it's like a McDonald's for Hawaiian food". Spot on!My go-to is Lau Lau, if they don't have any, my default is kalua pork. The rest of the family goes for the teriyaki beef. My daughter was craving spam musubi and ordered it. Her slight disappointment was enough to make me go make a batch, but I had no spam. LOL!

Walked in because I was craving some L&L so I thought I'd give this location a try since it's nearby. The customer in front of me finishes their order and then a man comes from the back to correct the cashiers mistake and then show her what to do and tell the customer that she needs to pay an additional amount since the lunch deal is not honored on weekends. She calls the customers number to get her back to the counter. She doesn't come back. Mind you the cashier could have just opened her door to the dining area and got the customer. The place isn't that big. All this time I'm waiting to place an order. She finally takes my order and I ask her if I can use a deal I have on the L&L app. She shrugs and says I don't know. That may be a great training moment where she could've asked the question to someone that would know. So I pay, wait for my food and leave.Good selection of Hawaiian Sun drinks

it's a two star because the rice and macaroni salad was really good! Service was OK. It was pretty decent inside . I ordered the short ribs combo. My short ribs were terrible nothing but fat super chewy. I got three thin pieces and I didn't even eat any. Everything was just chewy no meat. Was kind of weird. I would've thought they would've used a better choice of meat or something.. I was pretty disappointed at almost $17 with tax overpriced for something I couldn't even eat. from the pictures that looks really good but too bad it wasn't.

I've never felt the need to review L&L before--after all, it's like a McDonald's for Hawaiian food, right? Super consistent, but this location was a mixed bag! My niece wanted a few items, so I called in my order for the BBQ mix plate and 2 spam musubi's. Here's the scoop: the rice-to-spam ratio was a total letdown. It felt like I was eating a mountain of rice with just a hint of spam! I'd recommend skipping the musubi's altogether and whipping them up at home instead! Fun stop, but not the best if you're craving a good spam fix!

Saimin is a joke just broth noodles 3 green onions and one slice spam for 9 bucks. Wtf. Worker didn't want to be there a robot would have been better... A typical bowl of saimin in Hawaii includes: soft wheat egg noodles, a dashi-based broth, kamaboko (fish cake), green onions, and often additional toppings like char siu (BBQ pork), sliced Spam, chopped egg, bok choy, or shredded nori, all seasoned with shoyu (soy sauce).

The delivery went well and my food was beautifully and ccarefully packaged, Hearty portion sizes as well, The chicken was tender but I had to peel off the skin of the chicken The BBQ sauce was more that it was marinated embedded in the meat. The mac salad was creamy light delicious clearly the star of the show. The rice was fairly prepared lightly clumsy. The Spam Musibi was hearty thick loved the size- the spam had it's on spice delicious-

Making an order for pick-up was Easy, Breezy via phone call. Just your name and phone number to confirm. Im pleased for the convenience. The transaction went smooth, and back on the road, I went. I always experienced quality and deliciousness from here, BUT today, 02/19/24, I was disappointed. My Short Rib was literally short from having any meat on it besides the bones. Everything else was delicious, including their macaroni and rice. Their beef and chicken were flavorful as usual. Let's dive right into the good stuff, but if my waysof describing things don't please you. Take a lookat some of the pictures I've attached to this review. My orders are,Meal:1. BBQ MixA mouthwatering combination of succulent beef, chicken, and short ribsBesides the disappointing short ribs, everything was delicious and satisfying as always. Rich in flavor and good combination when eating all together like a dynamic burst. I definitely recommend this location due to their outstanding customer service experience. Very clean and sanitized. Their parking lot is spacious and easy access. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience.P.s. Don't forget to smile cause you're beautiful. SYOY!

First time here, should have ordered something else.L&L Drive-Inn in Maui was the first time I discovered Hawaiian Mixed Plate as a cuisine, living in Wisconsin but traveling to Maui or Oahu once a year for vacation. We loved it...the rice was exactly the medium grain sticky style that I liked, and they mixed different Far East flavors along with Hawaiian. It was only much later that I learned L&L's are also on the mainland, and we go whenever possible.I stopped in for lunch by myself on a late Saturday afternoon. It was fairly busy, with a lot of phone orders coming in. It seems to be owned by a Cambodian family (which makes sense being in the heart of Long Beach), but the menu is classic L&L. It's a large menu, with Saimin and Musubi. Unluckily for me, I saw Garlic Shrimp on the Menu and decided to order that. You place and pay for your order upfront, and they will call your number when ready. I did order that regular size Garlic Shrimp mixed plate ($13.39) and it was ready about 8 minutes later. All orders come in styrofoam to-go containers (even those dine-in...this is how they do it in Hawaii...recycling doesn't seem to be a top priority there). They will give you a small water cup if requested, and there is a water dispenser near the beverage refrigerator. There is also a self-serve soda fountain with Pepsi products. The plate came with 2 scoops of white rice and a scoop of macaroni salad. All good. I was HOPING for an approximation of garlic shrimp served from shrimp trucks in Oahu and Maui...or even what is served in other parts of long beach. But this was two shelled shrimp battered together and deep fried, served on a bed of shredded cabbage with a bit of garlic butter and couple chunks of pineapple. The funny thing is that the garlic butter tasted very good, with minced garlic throughout. But the double shrimp idea produced a lot of doughy breading between the shrimps causing gumminess. It wasn't good.My wife and daughter have had good experiences here, so I'm sure it was the dish I ordered. There are so many other things that I like, so will eat here again when in the area...just not Garlic shrimp.
