Ko Ryu Ramen

My favorite ramen spot!! I always get the Miso with extra pork and extra egg, always fresh and fast service. Not really good parking at this location but if you order ahead you can enjoy it at home

I'm so thrilled to have ramen down the street from my office!This was my first thought when I first saw that I could have authentic ramen within walking distance. But this quickly faded when I actually had my meal.The food ramen wasn't amazing. It was served warm, not hot, and the broth felt like it was missing something.What really frustrated me about the meal, is that the bench that I sat at had a small nail sticking out that tore open and ruined my pants. The solution offered by the manager? A 15% discount on my meal. On a $30 check, that was a $4.50 credit on pants that cost a LOT more than that.Needless to say, I did not return. Also, note that this experience was in 2019, when they opened. Somehow I ended up not posting my review, so I pulled this from my drafts to post. They may have improved, but I won't be back to find out.

I've eaten here a few times now, after starting a new job nearby. Mostly take out orders, but this time we decided to dine in. Service was friendly, helpful, and fast too! It's perfect for a quick bite to eat during our lunch break. Very casual, so don't worry about dressing up. I ordered the fried chicken curry ramen because one of my friends had ordered it in the past, and I remember it smelling so good. I'm glad I gave it a try this time! The chicken is served on the side so it doesn't get soggy in the broth. Even after I added pieces of it to the broth and let it sit, it still held it's crunchiness for quite a while. The broth itself had a wonderful curry flavor. Usually I can't finish a serving of ramen in one sitting, but this was so good I ate it all!I've tried their tsukemen and garlic bomb ramen in the past. The tsukemen wasn't my fav, but it's hard to compare when I already have an amazing fav at another ramen spot. And the garlic bomb ramen was good, but I didn't feel blown away by it or anything. That could just be because I prefer tonkotsu ramen though, and Ko-Ryu specializes in miso and shoyu ramen. I'll definitely be back, and next time I want to try one of their spicy challenge ramen dishes!

Don't get me wrong, the broth was delicious, the noodles were perfection, the egg and the added green onions were amazing as well! My only critique would be that the chashu is tough, it is not tender as I was hoping, recommend leaving it for last and leave it soaking in the broth for awhile before it starts to soften a bit. The service was excellent and very friendly! The ambiance of the place as well is both relaxing yet upbeat as well, with the selected music it gave me energy but also the warmth and comfort of the atmosphere is also calming!

Lord have mercy this is some of the best ramen I've had in a while. I got their signature ramen with sesame paste, which made for a very rich soup. Would definitely recommend.

Service wonderful and fast. Food absolutely delicious. We got garlic ramen, vegetable ramen, and three appetizers. It is Sunday, September 1, 2024 and until September 15th if you get a ramen you get an appetizer half off. It's to celebrate Ko-Ryu Ramen's 10th Anniversary. Congratulations!

This is our favorite ramen spot! The staff is friendly and welcoming, very attentive when they need to be but they're great at knowing when you just want to eat your ramen. The food is so good! If you like spicy they totally have the spice level for you. It's a quaint and cozy spot that's easy to just sit and talk with your S.O or a friend. Honestly, it's the best ramen we've ever had and I always burn my tongue because I can't wait to dive into my bowl. A must try!

First time here today, boy are we glad we gave it a chance. Not only the ambiance is awesome, has that industrial style vibe to it with a mix of urban, vintage kinda rustic elements to it, exposed pipes, large window, weathered woods and metal. Uh I love!!! Now.....drum rolls...the ramen...oh my delicious! The garlic one , tasty!!!! The spicy ramen, give it your level! Mine was # 3 oh boy, spicy, but spicy good!! You can do pork or chicken katsu, amazing!!! We also ordered shumai towards the end, that's good!!! And the price....unbelievable!!! Cheaper than it is out here in San Fernando valley for sure! And worth it! Are you kidding me now? I gotta come out here to San Pedro to have this deliciousness? Hell yeah!!! Whenever we're out here..this is our go to , for ramen!! Also, the service is 10, the wait staff...Friendly. Attentive and smiles all around.This is definitely. highly recommended ! Food is BOMB!!!!

The service was amazing just the same as the food always get great greetings and customer service! I would recommend dining here 10/10!
