We were so grateful we chose to celebrate our loved one's birthday here. She loved the vibe, the service, and especially the food. We will definitely be back. The cioppino was outstanding! The grilled shrimp was tender and flavorful. The salmon was delectable. Our waiter was friendly and polite.Everything about this restaurant was excellent!

My husband and I decided to go out for a late lunch, but since we weren't too hungry, we planned to share a plate. I was craving clam chowder, so we chose this spot. The atmosphere was nice, with two distinct areas--the restaurant side and the bar side. We opted for the bar area, where our server was also the bartender. Despite that, the service was still great. The meal started with warm, soft bread, followed by a flavorful clam chowder that hit the spot. We also had the crab cake, which was just okay, but the real standout was the main course--the Miso Yaki Chilean sea bass. It was perfectly cooked, soft, moist, and packed with flavor. This was definitely a great find, and I'd gladly come back again!

Great spot for some seafood. It's becoming more and more of an expensive proposition to go out and get clams or oysters. Alaskan Crab & king salmon is pretty much off the table nowadays. Kings still keeps good without price gouging. Very friendly staff, great for large groups, clean environment and decent bathrooms. Parking ain't free around here and often times is a complete biatch. Plan ahead during busy times and you'll be good. Excellent fish n chips n artichoke.

We were lucky to get an Open Table reservation for 2 on Valentine's. Only downside was where to park. They say they do validate but not at the Landmark parking on 1st and Pine. Parking can be a hassle downtown. We have eaten at their restaurant in Anaheim and this time I decided to try the halibut and hubby the Mexican sea bass along with mixed salad to share, both were meaty and delicious and with the hot sourdough bread, yummy. ey do validate but not at the Landmark parking on 1st and Pine. When I'm craving seafood, King's Fish House is one of my go-to spots. It's perfect for a lunch date with my husband or celebrating with my seafood-loving family.I almost always order the First Mate Shellfish Platter which comes with oysters, scallops, mussels, shrimp and Dungeness crab. Paired with their complimentary warm sourdough bread, it's filling but never too heavy. My husband is a fan of their fish and chips which are lightly battered and served with coleslaw and fries. On one visit, I tried their grilled rainbow trout with mashed potatoes and zucchini and it was just as fabulous. When we dine with family, we love ordering a variety of dishes to share and enjoy together.King's Fish House is also very kid-friendly. They gave my daughter a cute kids' cup for her water and an activity book with temporary tattoos which she absolutely loved!

First and foremost, the food here is phenomenal, as always! Like really really delicious, (love the oysters!) And I must say that the bartender, Steve, is what makes this place fun! I told him I'm currently not drinking alcohol so I requested a mocktail and he made me the perfect one! It had blackberry, basil, ginger beer, and pineapple juice and we named it the midnight basil. I will be back...and I can't wait to see Steve again!

In town for the Tournament of Roses Parade and we stayed up the street from King's Fish House. Service was good. We were greeted quickly once seated and our server was very nice. I like a server who checks in from time to time but doesn't hover. She did good in taking care of us. We both ordered the trout amandine. I got the sautéed spinach and baked potato while my mom got the rainbow carrots and baked potato. The baked potato was cold. The butter would not melt which was disappointing since it was soft. The trout was very good! One of the best I've had. My spinach was good too and I was happy it was more than a handful of a serving. I enjoyed the ambience. It was casual with an intimate feel. Really a great way to kick off our time in Long Beach!

The service here is top notch-the hostess and waitress were so welcoming. Our waitress showed us through the menu and was attentive through our whole dinning experience. As for the food, the new england clam chowder was a show stopper! I would come back just for a cup of that. We enjoyed our fish choices and the side of sourdough bread just as much. So beautiful inside but i loved that they opened up some windows! The opened windows added an extra touch to really feel connected to dtlb.

My last visit to this King's Fish House was probably close to 10 years ago and from what I recall it was good but nothing to write home about. Fast forward today and my dining experience was just WOW. I came in with a group for lunch and we started with oysters on the half shell and calamari. The oysters were super fresh and the calamari was not only fried perfect but seasoned to perfection. For my entree I went with a miso Chilean sea bass and it was simply divine. I have a Japanese Izakaya spot that I go to in WeHo specifically for their Miso Chilean sea bass and this one was just as good if not better. Server was amazing also. I can't recall our servers name but he was a gentleman who wore glasses and mentioned that he had been there for nearly 30 yrs if not mistaken. Overall this was a meal I rave about and I look forward to visiting again very soon.
