King Fish Market

Love the Red Snapper Fish, and Fried Chicken here at Fish King Market. Our first time eating at this location. We ordered several different foods, and it was a fried fish party. Love the vibe here not too far from the beach. The people are wonderful here, and the food was good. Some of the friend chicken was a little dried out, but all in all, I love this place. Very good bargain for your money.

I have been here a few times now. I waited to give my opinion based off a few dishes. The building itself is a an old looking place that is in a real need to spend money updating, heck everything . The place really tests your faith in a food prep area and the temperature your food is kept. They, like a lot of small independent fish markets need to take a day and just clean EVERYTHING a customer sees. On to the food, this trip I ordered the dinner plate it consisted of 3 pieces of the fish of my choice and 10 large shrimp along with fries a second side and a roll. It took about 12 mins to receive the food and the provide you with a pager. I wanted a smaller plate but they only have the option of 3 pieces or a 5 piece meal nothing for smaller appetites. This is a togo spot there is no inside dinning so all orders should come with your condiment breakdowns or you should be asked your desire. I was already on the freeway in traffic before I noticed the 2 most important condiments were not in my bag!!! The ketchup nor any hot sauce.! This almost got them a one star review for it. Im not even a big spicy girl and I was appalled it wasn't included. So I had to eat dry a$$ fries and try a bit of tartar sauce (which isn't my favorite thing in the first place) but who serves fries without at least offering ketchup?I asked for my shrimp to be lightly fried ( so they wouldn't taste like rubber) and he cooked them almost perfectly crisp. The fish was cooked lightly crisp as well This is why I didn't give a one star.The batter was light and flaky with much flavor generally not being a spicy girl I appreciate when the batter isn't what I deem spicy, but even I would have added a tinge of pepper flavoring to give a pop of extra flavor. The container is probably a highlight here they keep the food in cardboard. Now if you don't know plastic (all plastic is terrible for your body (the particles that come off of it and warming your food in them are definitely cancer callers) so this helps for safety and how your food sweats inside the container cardboard with holes always food to stay in its intended form fries in generally breathe better and don't get soggy like and less the crispness. So thanks for that. But please please clean the windows and the freezers they just look dingy. Who I go back? Only in an emergency. And that consists of the other place I like being closed as this place is open until 8. So anytime I need some fried fish after 640 this is that spot!

The catfish tastes like it's on a menstrual cycle. Terrible service, does not honor loyal customers or replace bad/old fish.

For beginners it's over priced for what you receive in food portion and service . I ordered the fillet sole with shrimp & Tilapia with greens mac and cheese and fry's The sole shrimp and Tilapia taste like it was fried in the same grease as the chicken disgusting, fish was fairly fresh sides were small portions i mean even the hot sauce was skimp , however the greens were pretty good , the older man behind the counter rushed me to place my order i found that rude once ordered i received a buzzer and chose to wait in my car the ambiance was a bit ran down for my preference overall i won't eat there again and wouldn't recommend .

Ordered fried shrimp basket that tasted alright until I found a fried fly in the mix. I had a panic attack. I would took a pic but I was too distraught and threw the box out the car. Don't do it smh

The food was good. Fish and shrimp were seasoned very well. The bread was super hard though! They also give you just enough sauce to be partially satisfied. The service was great. Lady was nice. It's in be hood so don't expect great ambiance. All in all I would go back

The fish was good and cooked very well . Loved the skin/batter on the fish . So good and the cheddar cheese had like a gang of real cheddar. Crazy cheddar . Bread was good and the tarter sauce was. Now I don't know about price as my friend brought me the fish .

I was referred to this place by my cousin. Customer service was average. Way too many signs in front. Can't tell what's the menu. Food was okay. Nothing special

Nice hole in the wall establishment with great fish fry! I personally call in for takeout instead of waiting 15 mins but other than that it's worth the wait tbh.

Bomb! Been coming here since I was a kid. I love them and Dons on Long Beach Blvd. They truly are the best!
