I came on a Saturday night and although it was busy and an estimated 45 minute wait, we got a table in less than 30 minutes. Despite being a busy plaza, it wasn't difficult to find parking. The ambiance was really nice and the lighting created nice date night vibes (although not the quietest environment if you're looking for that). Upon seating, the waitress was very attentive and introduced the menu to us and made recommendations according to our preferences. My friend and I got the Chashu Tom Kha Ramen with minimal spice and it was amazing- not a ramen you can get at your usual ramen spot. The flavors were definitely on the bolder side (coconut creamy with a hint of sour and sweet). They have unlimited ramen refills for dine in so I was able to enjoy two bowls of Tom Kha for the price of one. Will definitely come back again for the vibes and food!

I was craving ramen and discovered this spot on Yelp, mainly because they had a Laksa-flavored ramen listed on the menu. I didn't realize it was part of the Kei Concept group until we sat down and saw the staff wearing Kei Concept t-shirts. Unfortunately, it seems the Laksa Flavor ramen was seasonal, and the only option available was the Tom Kha flavor. I went with that and was really impressed-- the balance of spicy and sour paired perfectly with the tender Chashu. I also added a side of egg to my ramen. My husband ordered the Tonkotsu ramen with intestines and a side of Chashu. He loved the intestines and said it was some of the best he'd ever had. The ambiance was great, and despite the heavy rain, it was still pretty busy. Our server was fantastic and even let us know we could get refills on ramen for free. My husband almost ordered more but was too full. We also tried the fries on the side, which were tasty but a little greasy.Overall, we would definitely return for the ramen and might even check out the happy hour menu next time!

KIN's happy hour saved me $20 which was insane. We came right at the beginning of happy hour, which starts at 8 p.m. every Sunday to Thursday, and ordered to our heart's content because the prices were so affordable. My favorite dish here, and perhaps my favorite fusion ramen dish ever, is the tom kha chashu ramen. Also, the ramen comes with unlimited noodle refills so say no more. The beef belly curry is another good choice since the meat was fatty and the flavor of the curry reminded me of how my mom makes it at home.I'd recommend ordering the Hokkaido scallop crudo and truffle salmon crudo as sharing plates since they're light and refreshing appetizers. But if you want something more filling, you can't go wrong with the 3 set yakitori skewers with chicken thigh, sausage, and scallops. I don't normally drink but anything with yuzu sounds appealing to me so I ordered the yuzu fizz cocktail and I had no regrets. The alcohol wasn't too strong and the flavor was sweet enough to mask most of it so I thoroughly enjoyed it.It was pretty packed late at night on a Thursday night so I'm thinking perhaps everyone else may have also been here for the happy hour? Or maybe KIN is just that popular, I'm not sure. Regardless, it's worth visiting to try the food.

Finally came here after a while for their happy hour! We ordered the tonkotsu ramen, chicken karaage, the salmon crudo, and the corn cheese. Everything was so delicious, and I had to keep myself from ordering more of the salmon crudo! Service is always awesome and I love the ambience of this restaurant, which was perfect for a girl's night!

Another gem by Kei Group in the area! Not only their menu is always innovative, they always keep their promise to serve. The best quality of the food there is!There were 3 of us, and wish we were more people so we got to try more menu items that sounds delicious ! On top of the plate dishes we ordered, we also ordered their yakitori like gizzard, skin ( on top of our fried skin order hehe), lamb chop , and pork belly. Ube Colada is dang delicious and strong , would recommend that if you enjoy sweet and innovative drink. the Curry is good too, but might skip for next time so I get to try other stuff. Their furikake fries sounds so simple but it's so good and fries is one of my guilty pleasure !Their Tom kha ramen has an interesting flavor and to have japanese-thai crossover flavor is always interesting. It's located in the plaza so there's plenty of parking. The staff are all nice too.Reservation is highly recommended.

Happy hour whaats uupp. There's two things I appreciate about this: the portions seem the same as regular menu so it makes it actually worth it, 8-10pm means that i can go after work!! And the service is still as nice as ever with the tables still being small for the amount of food one may order for a party of 2. I think its a good idea to split the ramen/curry if u choose to get it because the deals will induce a twin sized food baby. Calamari: a bit oily and fried thickly in batter. Still good and a classic, but would do great with some lemon *Takoyaki: good basic, had actual chunks of octopus when we ate it. Salmon carpaccio: nice fatty pieces, they were also really nice to make another plate without truffle oil for our second order hehe I feel like this sauce is just refreshing but not as distinct* Scallop carpaccio: this yuzu sauce, everytime i get it i just want to drink it... but alas bad tableside manners.. if only I could get a bottle of it. Idk why its soo perfect to me. This was my favorite! Can't really taste the caviar tbh but the texture of scallops great and the onions are sweet. Just quite yuzu flavored. Skewers: nice variety, but we both found it to be a bit salty. The chicken also feels a bit processed for some reason?? Or is like a veery tender thigh. I wish it had some more grill/charcoal flavor to it. We also ordered a gizzard separately and id recommend that more! Yuzu cocktail- nice fizz not too strong flavor, comes in the smaller glass and still pretty.Green tea highball- stronger, brewed green tea, very nice ice. I would keep the ice if I could. Its just very clear and pretty. Taste better and a bit sweeter if you mix and express the lemon peel into it. Service was very attentive ^^ every need was met in a timely manner The bathrooms are single rooms so there be a line... theres mouthwash inside thoYaa come for happy hour and get your meals worth. I''m so grateful they had the carpaccios cuz its actually my favorite thing of the menu.

Large, spacious, and classy but casual interior. We had a 30 minute wait for a party of 2 on a Thursday night. HAPPY HOUR MENU- tom kha chashu ramen ($12): 9.2/10. SO GOOD !!! rich, delicious, and creamy. heavy but not too heavy that you get sick of it. so flavorful. RECOMMEND.- crispy calamari ($10): 7.2/10. pretty normal. Very yummy spicy mayo sauce that comes with it. Could have used a little more sauce and a lime/lemon on the side. Not a must.- hokkaido scallop crudo ($12): 9.0/10. DELICIOUS AND FRESH. i LOVE scallops. the yuzu sauce/marinate they serve the scallops with is SO GOOD and complements the scallops perfectly.- 3 set yakitori skewers ($10): 6.8/10. The chicken thigh and sausage skewers were pretty mediocre. Nothing special. However, the scallop skewer was DELICIOUS. I would just order the scallop skewer to be honest but each skewer is much more expensive when bought individually and not in the happy hour set.

KIN Craft Ramen is another successful venture by Kei Concepts. They have really taken over this particular plaza, but the food, service, and atmosphere is really superb. The food is so consistently good every time I go, and the servers are always friendly and attentive. In addition, every Kei Concepts restaurant has had amazing decor and attention to detail. KIN in Fountain Valley is no exception. I love the decor, and the food is amazing. The seafood ramen in particular is one of my favorites as the flavor is very unique and blends extremely well. It is not overwhelming or too rich, allowing me to enjoy every sip and bite. Overall, KIN Craft Ramen in Fountain Valley is a great date night spot for amazing food, service, and atmosphere.

Just ordered ramen and it was not what I had previously. I was blown away the first time I had it. I was expecting the same fatty smoky pork. Different pork now. Chicken karaage was still good.
