Ken's is always a stop when in the area. He has fresh Fiji and Samoan taro and also back freezer all the island foods. Also check out his shelves for more goods. Had to grab some scratch cards cause everyone that walked in was there for that and lottery tickets.

Hours say they close at 7. Made the drive here, arrived at 6:35 and they're closed. Their phone # goes directly to a voicemail system. How disappointing.

I drove by this spot multiple times and wanted to see what it's about.AMBIANCE:Parking: Plaza parking for about 10 cars.Feels: Willow Street is a pretty busy spot but nothing touristy. The space itself is kinda like a single shop brick and mortar that's a bit run downed. Nothing fancy just a mix of Islander influenced clothing, souvenirs and minimal food such as chops, cookies, drinks, cookies, and fresh taro. However no fresh food/meals as I hoped for.CUSTOMER SERVICE:Solid. Straight business. Can't complain.TL; DR OVERALL:3.5 Stars. A solid place that gets the job done. Reasonable price and a few unique items. If you're looking for commercial stuff like Hawaiian stuff, this ain't the place. I wish they had more stuff to offer.TIPS:* Most known for Samaon Taro.

Cool place! I stop in about once-twice a week to pick up items! Love this store because it saves me from going to the big supermarkets. Plenty of parking here as they share with a washhouse and a newly coming mexican food shop. The owners are awesome and very friendly..

Hard to believe no one has reviewed this place before. First, this is a little market that would benefit any Pacific Islander or Polynesian living around the west side of Long Beach. Myself, I'm from Hawaii. I personally think this spot is a treasure because not only do they sell "Locals" brand slippahs, Hinode brand rice, Aloha Shoyu. Ken's also has Redondo's Hawaiian "Winners" hot dogs. They also carry a couple of brands of Portuguese Sausage but only in mild. Ken's also sells taro by huge bags, $62 each. A solid selection of canned corn beef... but no spam! If you know island foods, you can probably guess what else they have. Mainly its stocked for Samoan customers. Otherwise they got the usual mini corner store items, you know - junk food, sodas, lotto tickets, etc. For anyone else, they would wonder why this place got 4 stars. For me, I get a little bit of Hawaii every time I stop by.

This establishment is a hot spot for EBT CalFresh transaction fraud. Had my card number, without the card being physically present, fraudulently used here for $1300.
