Kathy's Bakery

Is Kathy the only one to serve fresh conchas in LA? Maybe! We love Kathy's Bakery, and one of my friends will swing by weekly for conchas for the family. We brought some today to our hospital to treat our staff, and every single person who tried one commented on how fresh, soft, and lightly sweet these were! I'm sure we all have experienced the stale concha from a bakery, but you won't find staleness at Kathy's! Typically, with conchas from elsewhere, I am unable to finish them due to size, sweetness, or the stale factor. However, with Kathy's, I can always have a few!Fair warning, though, the parking is garbage in this area, and you may encounter some rude staff. Some people do complain of the prices, too. Regardless, this is our favourite spot for conchas!

The best bolillo and sweet bread ever always fresh and soft. My dad use to always buy us this bread when we were young and I buy it for my kids now. Highly recommend this bakery.

My wife grew up coming here as a kid. Now our kids get to enjoy the soft tasty pan dulce. If I'm in the area for work I'll stop by to grab some for the house. Pan dulce like concha's or elotes we'll have handy for the kids and the parents. They are always very helpful aside from pan dulce they also offer tortas and coffee. My kids wanted candy but let them know we came for bread. Some good music is usually playing while you select your bread. This is my go to bakery for pan dulce

I went to buy a rosca and no babies inside the rosca I try calling no one will pick up the phone never again I will purchased a rosca from this place. I hope other people rosca did had Babies inside. THANKS Kathy Bakery FOR RUINING OUR FAMILY TRADITION........

The bread is fresh and delicious. Atmosphere not welcoming, employees are bitter everything is overpriced even the Mexican candy on your left. Expect to pay 1.75 to 3 per simple piece of bread. If you have lots of money and love bread I would recommend this place, if you don't like to be ripped off avoid it

Can't see how you open a business and don't speak english or choose not to however it's unfortunate smelled very fresh and i was inclined to purchase a cake here & pastries. Parking is a struggle as to its dead in the center of a residential busy neighborhood

The cakes are very good but too pricey.. next time a cake I bought 100 was worth somewhere else 40.00

Fresh bread and bolillos. Quick service. It does get busy in the morning and in the evening. Parking very limited

OK -I've been here several times but lately I've been meaning to Yelp my experience. Now hear me out I've paying a lot more attention on how the bread is out for customers to grab, the customer service and the prices.Parking is bad....Okay if you are going to use a visa check card or credit card you will have to pay $1.00I have to pay a few to purchase their bakery,wow!I gave 2stars because the baker was sweeping and no doors are placed on the bread from any dust particles rising into the air,this does not makeMe want to eat bread and very unethical.Unfortunately I will no longer be coming back
