Last Saturday we were at Anaheim for an event and my boys wanted to eat before we drive back to LA so I tried to look for nearby places that serve sushi burrito. They miss the local sushi burrito place we used to go to in our neighborhood since it closed down so this place came up and it's close to where we were and on the way back. We arrived past 3 pm and there were a lot of available seats. First thing we noticed while waiting was that they do this little celebration for you if it's your birthday, complete with dimmed lights etc. can be loud if you're not a fan of that in restaurants but while we were there they did this 2x. So right away it tells me that this is probably a local favorite. Our sever admitted to being late on getting to us (took some time before we got our menus after we sat down) because of the celebrations. So let's get to it - definitely I find the prices at this place affordable. My son wanted to order ramen and sushi burrito and our server was nice enough to point out that there is a lunch combo for that. Guess what lunch is up to 4pm!! Where else can you get a deal like that?! My eldest got the regular size sushi burrito - it's big and was very filling for him. Of course they still said our old place was better but the fish was good and the burritos are well made (packed tightly). I had the tuna and salmon regular rolls plus a large tempura entree. I get why it's large (see pic) I didn't finish it and had to bring home all the tempura veggies it came with. There's 4 shrimp tempura's and tons of veggies. So if you like more shrimp maybe order one without the veggies (not sure if they have it). The hot sake was super cheap so I got it but I'm not a fan. Definitely worth a try when you're in this area.

On our roadtrip from Las Vegas to LA for a quick Disney trip we stopped in for some last minute and "quick" service sushi. I really came here for the "quick" considering they have a drive through option. The ambiance is almost like a fast food restaurant, and when I think of sushi and that mixed together, I should've adjusted expectations. But videos and reviews kept me hyped. Here is what we got: 1. Avocado Roll: this was thick and full of rice. 90% rice and 10% avocado and seaweed. Very dense and filling. 2. Spicy Tuna of Crispy Rice: this unfortunately fell flat. It seemed like the rice was a bit off, like stale? The tuna was decent 3. Salmon Collar: this was non traditional as it came out on a sizzling rock. However it was already cooked through, so this salmon was dry like the Sahara desert. 4. Salmon Carpaccio: I loved the yuzu sauce, definitely the highlight 5. Tonkatsu Ramen: this felt like it had no salt. With no salt meant there was also no flavor. 6. Spicy Miso Ramen: the spice was there! and the corn was a great topping. Overall its definitely a fast food place over a cheap place. I thought it would be fast and cheap, but for the quality it was a miss

1. Ambiance and EnvironmentKaiba is a cozy Japanese restaurant located at its own lot. The exterior of the restaurant is clean, and they have a small patio waiting area out front. They have space heaters out front for guests to warm them up while waiting, but I've noticed that they unfortunately forget to turn it on sometimes. Note that there's two entrances - one by The interior of the shop, as I mentioned above, is cozy. It's not cramped and the tables and seats are at an appropriate distance from one another. The interior is always clean and tidy; there's staff members regularly going around the dining room cleaning the floors and tables.2. Food and DrinksThe food and drinks here are amazing! I definitely recommend trying it out for yourself.3. ServiceStaff members are kind and approachable. They acknowledge you from the moment you enter the establishment with a greeting, to the moment you leave with a goodbye. You can also tell that they're very hardworking. I've noticed that the staff members very much embody efficiency, as they're always on the move. Staff members - from servers, to cooks, to bussers - help out one another with various responsibilities, which results in shorter wait times and an overall better customer experience. I really appreciated this. 4. PricingThe food and drink prices here are great, and very much worth it for the flavor and serving portion that you get. 5. RestroomI didn't use the restroom during any of my visits. 6. ParkingParking at peak hours with all tables filled up still leaves you with plenty of spots to park at. Do be advised, however, that the back parking lot smells like sewage most often than not. Try to park at spots closer to the street if you can. If no parking is available and you're still craving their food, you're in luck. They're one of the few - if not the only - Japanese food place in Orange County that offers drive-thru service so you can easily get your food to go.

We were looking to have a nice dinner at Kaiba but there was a big crowd waiting but we noticed they have a drive thru so we decided to order to go! I thought it was a bit unusual for a Japanese restaurant to have a drive thru so we ordered gyoza, chicken teriyaki and tempura bento combo and beef teriyaki and tempura bento combo. We also were given miso soup and the portions for the bento combo were huge, the meats were tender and tasty and tempura was crispy! Next time we are in the area we hope to try the indoor dining

Loved going to Kaiba in Monterey Park so it's nice to see that they have multiple locations in SoCal! This location has a lot of parking and even a drive through for sushi pick up! My go to at Kaiba is the Tiger, Dragon, Hungry man, and the Jalapeño Bomb. All of these are so good and filling!
