I went to pick up 1/2 dozen beef tamales. I also ordered a pint of red sauce. It has such a depth of flavor and is not too spicy. I also ordered A pint of Spanish rice. It is very simple , the flavor is amazing and cooked perfectly. This is a perfect Christmas Eve dinner. The food freezes perfectly. I will get some chips and pico de gallo on Christmas Eve fresh. I recommend that you pick it up early, as the lines can get very long closer to Christmas. I also got some flour tortillas. They are amazing. They grind their own masa. If you have never tried a fresh made tortilla, then you are missing out one the best tastes in life.Will be back after the first of the year.Feliz Navidad

Mmmmm! This place is sooo good. I'm a fiend for machaca breakfast burritos. Julian's makes one of the best I've ever had. They put pinto beans in it which not all places do. I've also had the tostada which was equally as delish. I love their salsa too, I always get extra. The food is just pure goodness! You won't be disappointed

I had high hopes for Julian's Tortilleria after hearing so much buzz about it on my socials. My experience fell far short of expectations. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance felt off--more of a hastily decorated cafeteria than the cozy eatery I envisioned.The service was another letdown. We were greeted by a cashier or whatever she was. The woman had rose gold glasses. She seemed very unkind and unfriendly. I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, I'll be looking elsewhere for my next meal. Save your time and money y'all.

I've gotten tamales here twice now in the past few years. This time around I got 6 chicken and 6 pork. They are good and I will probably get them again. However, I'm still on the search for *the best* tamales. If anyone has any recommendations (local to Long Beach, CA) please send them my way!I would also like to try some of their other items too; including tacos, enchiladas and a bean and cheese burrito.

My mom has lived in the area for over 15 years. Why it has taken me this long to review Julian's IDK, but I'm not proud. That being said, this spot, in my opinion, is authentic Mexican food. From the service down to the flavors, it feels like walking into my abuelas home on a Sunday waiting for her to feed me. Every person at the register is welcoming and friendly. They have freshly baked tortillas and pan Dulce, along with various Mexican chips and ice creams. As you walk-in you are met by an array of fresh hot foods (carnitas, chicharrón con chile, sopa, pozole, caldo, etc.) all delicious choice! I mainly go here for the chicharrón con chile because it is one of my fav items on their menu. Let me tell y'all! I have had them in tacos, burrito, turned it into a breakfast burrito, but most recently ENCHILADAS! That's right. I called in my order and was like, you know it's not on the menu but would I be able to get the chicharrón in enchiladas with cheese? The person taking my order out me on hold for a second and immediately said no problem we got you! They did not disappoint. The cheese madness of it all just hit but the red enchilada sauce is the true star of this plate! We can't let their red salsa go unnoticed because it is hard to beat! The location is spacious for indoor dining and once again gives a nostalgic vibe as if you are at your abuelas home being feed with food that is made with love! It truly is a home sweet home feel and flavor to match. They also sell tamales for holiday season and champurrado so don't forget to place your holiday orders! You will not regret a single purchase.
