Joey's Smokin' BBQ

We used to frequent Joeys when we lived a little closer and always talked about how delicious and juicy their bbq chicken was.Unfortunately, something's changed in the last two years. We tried their chicken with beans and coleslaw tonight and everything tasted average to below average. The chicken was dry and definitely tasted reheated. The beans were nothing to write home about and the coleslaw didn't taste like it was made today. We won't be going back any time soon, as we have to make an effort to get to this restaurant and it's not worth that at this time.

We always order ribs to go, but last few times in the last several months, we were disappointed with the quality of food. We used to enjoy them, but the last order we had a week ago (ribs) tasted old... they baked fresh, it was still hot, but the meat itself tasted old unfortunately. I think the ones before (a few months ago) were not as good as they used to be either.We are now looking for better place to try.

I was finally able to eat here. Previous time I came the place closed early and I was NOT at all happy.Washroom was clean and had paper towels available. Good.I ordered the Tri tip sandwich meal. Tri tip was nice and tender. French Fries were good. I had "wooder" to drink.I noticed that the guys working here do not tuck their shirts in. Untucked shirt looks unprofessional in my opinion. Deduction of one point for untucked shirts and one point for my previous experience.This would translate to a letter grade of a C+.

Amazing!! Tried Joeys Smokin BBQ for the frist time and I'll definitely be back again!! Fast and efficient service! A lot bigger on than inside than it looks..Very nice seating inside rustic and cowboy style. Big enough for family's or just a dinner date. I got the three meat platter double brisket and 1/4 chicken, with a side of sweet potatoes fries and a corn bread. The brisket was delicious, soft and a large quantity, the chicken was so soft both with the perfect amount of BBQ sauce on top the corn bread was fluffy, sweet and refreshing and can't forget the sweeeeet potatoes fries were SUPERB GOODNESS!! A definitely must try on their sweet potato fries soft crunchy melt in your mouth goodness!!! 10/10 definitely recommend trying this place out. Very good price coming out to $24

Love all their BBQ, and fries(they're thin and crispy. My favs are Tri-tip sandwiches, pulled pork, ribs.

The good:I had bbq from here for my birthday this month. We ordered takeout and the prices were fair. We tried the spicy chicken, brisket, ribs, bbq baked beans, Cole slaw and corn bread. I like that they added extra bbq sauce on the sides. My toddler enjoyed the cornbread and ate several slices of it. I liked the tang on the slaw and how it wasn't bland. IThe bad:The beans were a bit too sweet and the slaw was a bit too wet. The ribs could've been meatier. The corn bread could've been moister. The interesting:National bbq month is May!

Having lived in Texas, I've become sort of a bbq snob. To be honest , nothing in SoCal seems to come close. Plenty of space inside, fast casual ambiance. Order at the counter and they bring the e food out. Fries: really good. Wow, I enjoyed them more than I should Brisket : doesn't seem smokey enough. And, now that I think about it, I don't actually see a smoker on site. Maybe this is t the dish to order here Ribs: quite good. The 1/3 rack sort of left me wanting more, but a 1/2 rack is probably too much. Dilemma Pulled pork sandwich : very good. Generous amount of meat. The sauce is tangy and sweet. The bun is quite good at containing all the cuts. Overall : a solid effort for bbq in SoCal but Not up to Texas standards

When I went here I got the baby back combo plateComes w/ baby back ribs w/ 1 selection of meat and a choice of side( yams). With my selection of meat being brisket , it was the most driest brisket I ever had, dont get. My choice of side were yams which was bullshit and had the brown sugar on the side and it was some typical white people shit. The macaroni and cheese was crafts , missing flavor somethin major!! The thing that saved them was the hot link. Beef rib , and the bbq beans....... Which was on my gf plateBe aware white people cookin

Joeys BBQ is just okay. You walk up & order at the counter. The food came out quickly, but I was disappointed at the portion sizes & the flavor. We ordered baby back ribs & the tri-tip. The ribs didn't have much meat on them considering the price. However, the ribs were pretty tender. The barbecue sauce was good, but nothing special. I think it actually could've used more flavor. The Mac & cheese was pretty bland, & was actually lacking the cheesy flavor. Cornbread comes with the plates, and that was just alright too. Their pickles are so good, perfectly sour & crispy. You just have to ask for them at the counter. Overall, Joey's bbq was average. Their prices are kinda steep for the amount of food you get, & many of their food options are lacking flavor and depth.

We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and French fries and a soda1/2 rack of baby back ribs and pork sliders. As always what a feast. The ribs were moist and meaty and seasoned perfectlyThe pork sandwiches were juicy and meaty tasted great Traveled all the way from West Los Angeles to have that meal great Deal
