Drove by this place for years but it wasn't until I saw an IG post about it with comments saying they had the best lengua in town was when I decided to try it out. We went around lunch time and there was lots of seating. Service was great. The hostess/server was friendly and very attentive. We ordered the lengua quesadilla, lengua taco, shrimp taco, fish taco, and asada taco. While you wait, they give you a basket of chicharrones de harina with tapatio. Lengua quesadilla - it was big! Easily feeds 2 people or one really hungry person. The handmade tortilla was a little thick but still very tasty. Lots of lengua and gooey white cheese. Tacos- made with tortillas made in house and very fresh. They were good sized tacos and not skimpy on the meat. The lengua was the star of the show. Perfectly cooked almost resembling a tender shredded beef. It was delicious. The shrimp taco came in second. It had lots of shrimp mixed with peppers and onions. Very good! Last but not least was the fish taco. It came with a few good size filets and some cabbage. They also have a condiment station where they have onions, cilantro, lime, radishes, jalapeños, and 4 different salsas ranging from very hot to mild. I tried the jefe salsa (hot) and it was good. Perfect amount of heat. To drink they have a variety of agua frescas made daily. I tried the maracuya (passion fruit) and it was good. They also have soft drinks and other glass bottle drinks such as topo chicos and jarritos.In all, this is definitely a place we'd come back to! They also have a large parking lot in the back so you won't have to worry about circling the block to find parking.

This place is seriously good. I had the dorados, asada plate, and all the tacos and pupusa. All were fantastic! Also the service is really great. I think the homemade tortillas really make a difference. Only thing I haven't tried is the burritos but everyone here seems to have ordered them hahaha.

Staff is so awesome here! The food is as good as the staff. :) Clean and simple interior with a salsa bar and a tv for sports lovers.We've tried lots of different things here...and all delicious. Their pupusas are amazing!

Stumbled upon this spot on a late Tuesday afternoon and I'm so glad I did! Great flavors and super friendly staff. Not stingy on the meat at all!Inside is very clean, only minuscule critique is to refill the salsa bar.

We visited Jefe's Cocina before heading to the SS Lane Victory, thanks to its Yelp reviews, and it was a fantastic choice. The restaurant is about half a block off the Main road in San Pedro, making it easy to find. Parking at the meter was comically affordable, at just $0.50 per hour.We ordered Pollo, Asada, Camarón, and Pescado tacos, along with a (dark green) mint/pineapple Agua Fresca. The food was incredible, with perfectly flavors and textures. The staff were friendly, and the place was immaculate inside. Some restaurants have music so loud you can't have a conversation, but here, that wasn't the case. I'll definitely be back, even if it means going out of my way.

My new favorite spot! The food and service is outstanding! They make fresh tortillas! Their agua fresca is the best, pineapple cucumber.

I am still salivating over the Passionfruit Agua Fresca! I love that the daughter walked us through the menu.
