I want to preface this by saying I've been wanting to come here for literally almost 3 years. I found Jazz Eclectic on instagram and was dreaming of going for a long time. Beginning: we were greeted by security who checked us in right away. There was no long line and we got in with a breezes there was security at the elevator and he was nice enough to take our pictures.Middle: My group decided we wanted a table and the host was nice enough to get us a table even though it was last minute. She worked with us to make sure it was a win-win for the group and the establishment. SO. MUCH. FUN. great live jazz music. Everyone there had great energy. It didn't even feel like we were in LA it felt like we were in NYC. End: Our server was so sweet and on top of it. She got our drinks to us as fast as possible and made sure we were taken care of. I have not had as much fun as I did here in a long time.

I've been to Jazz Eclectic for quite a few times now. While I enjoy the music, drinks, the environment I have to say over the years I have noticed one thing:The organizers are not very welcoming to outsiders. Seems like they are only positive to their special little clique. I'm not the only person who have noticed, but probably the only brave enough to say it. Music is a very positive experience and I feel like it should be shared with all equally. Most of the time when you get to the door you have to follow them on social media. Well, I don't understand why people have to share their social media and be forced to follow Jazz Eclectic since there's not much effort to make the non clique crowd feel welcome. I think this is wrong!!! Nobody should be forced to follow anyone on social media. And no business or organization should care about numbers, but about a positive experience. Also, please make sure new guests have the chance to get a table. A good one! Most of the time the best tables are reserved for the clique(probably because they are spending more money), but we don't even have the chance to spend because there's nothing good available ( because the good ones are taken by clique EVERY TIME) and nobody wants to be behind a poll with a mirror missing the whole thing. I hope you guys take this review to heart. You guys are great, but you can be better. You have the power to make everything you do amazing for everyone.

A Must-Visit Jazz Night in Hollywood! Looking for a killer night out in LA? @JazzEclecticLA at Bar Lis is where it's at! This isn't your average jazz concert--imagine a chic rooftop setting on top of the Thompson Hollywood, with a 360° view of the city lights, and some of the best jazz improvisation you'll ever hear. My friends and I went last night, and it was a total vibe from start to finish. The night had three jaw-dropping sets, each with insanely talented musicians, plus a DJ spinning between sets to keep the energy high. Bar Lis has this cool, vintage Hollywood feel but with a modern, luxe touch--every spot in the house is perfect for snapping pics and soaking up the atmosphere. Whether you're lounging in a private nook or hanging with a group, this place is designed to make everyone feel like they're in on LA's best-kept secret. The indoor bar brings serious old-school glam, and the open-air seating? Pure magic under the stars. Gilles Amsallem (@GillesSignature), the man behind it all, is an incredible host. He personally introduces each artist and you can feel his passion for jazz. The crowd is a mix of locals, hipsters, and tourists who want something special and genuine. It's like an elevated jazz party where everyone shares the love for music. If you're in LA on a Tuesday night, this is the spot. Grab a cocktail, sit back, and enjoy the vibes. Just a heads-up--it fills up fast, so book early. JazzEclecticLA is hands down one of the best jazz experiences in the city!#JazzEclecticLA #BarLis #ThompsonHollywood #HollywoodRooftop #LAJazzScene #LiveMusicLA #HipsterVibes #VintageMeetsModern #JazzNightOut #HiddenGemsLA #jazz #music

Wow! We had such a great time. The music and performance was top notch as well as the venue (BarLis). We had a table with drinks and came early for dinner. The dinner was really delicious. Once the show got started we were so into the music, which was a combination of jazz then a DJ with Haus music that we all started dancing. What a great evening for either a girls night or a date. Dress up if you'd like it makes it even more fun.

Came here tonight for the very first time. There was plenty of seating, live band and they also played music. I really enjoyed myself. Staff is quick with drinks. The view is pretty awesome and it's off the main strip, which was nice. Ages ranged from 30-40 here. Mixed vibes for sure.

Best Tuesday night jazz night in LA! Always surprised by the caliber of musicians who perform here.....and it's always packed. I like that there's a front bar or outside to chill too if you need a break. Great drinks too, but if you're on a budget Coronas are $9. plus its nice to see Hollywood from a rooftop view.
