Happened to drive by on my way home from work and had to stop to see if it was still as good as when I'd frequent years ago. I ordered a sandwich and BBQ spaghetti. Staff was nice and friendly. Got home and the BBQ spaghetti was just like I remember. The sandwich on the other hand tasted like something had spoiled. Couldn't tell if it was the coleslaw or the meat. I only took one bite and couldn't eat the rest because I feared getting sick.

Still serving up great BBQ , however, the sides seem to have been changed? The portion is smaller now, WAY LESS sauce, and different hot links.

Best barbecue I've had in the South Bay by a long shot. This place is the real deal! The chopped brisket melted in my mouth and the beef ribs slid off the bone. I chose the extra hot bbq sauce and it was the perfect spice level! I'll definitely be back!

Wtf my bbq beef sandwich was missing bbq sauce dry af also the brioche bread now needed please go back to the original bread please there is no need to change the taste the butter in the bread is gross with bbq. Well ordered the beans but didn't taste them sorry won't be coming back for a while.

This place is good Memphis style bar b q . It was featured in dinners drive-ins and dives. A lot has changed since that wonderful episode, the food is their downfall. You can't sale old ribs, I'm not sure what has happened but this was a gem I didn't want anyone knowing, now it's like save your money and go elsewhere. I miss old jay bees the service is still wonderful, but idk if it's the cooks or quality. But something is going wrong in the back, I truly love this place and I hope that they will bounce back! The restaurant has faced many challenges in its surroundings. I would hate to see this place go, because it's such a staple to the community I'm still in hopes they will put the love and pride that once made this place back into their plates. Their spicy bbq sauce is the best! Pork ribs their chicken diner . I still love you jay bees and I'm a believer in turn arounds!

Food doesn't taste fresh . Never any smoke coming from here. The ambiance is nonexistent. Customer service is mediocre.They definitely need new management and something new. It tastes and looks like it's on its last leg... stop drowning the food in sauce .. old food old sauce.... By next year it'll be a taco stand!

I went there in a really good mood. I was having a beautiful day, but when I went to order my food from the female taking the order my mood changed. I didn't feel welcomed and it seemed like everything that I ordered wasn't available until someone in the back told that it was. Wow!! I don't want to say that it was personal, but I noticed a Hispanic looking lady ordered right after with a greeting and a thank you, in which I didn't get. Also another male customer came in and she was chopping it up with conversation and "thanking the Lord". LoL!!

Two words, dry and tasteless. Such a shame, I used to come here years ago, and it was pretty good. The sauce was bland and watery, and the sides were store-bought. The meat did not taste of any seasonings nor of smoke.I really wanted it to be good.

The employees are down to Earth. The service fast. The food was very tasty. I'm hoping, some time in the future, the patio section will eventually be open for everyone to enjoy!
