J Fish Market

This is a very small, family owned fish market with attentive service. The fish is lightly coated and very lightly seasoned but the side dishes leave something to be desired. It's takeout only. The food was okay overall

I have a usual fish spot, but J fish definitely comes a close second. The quality is good and their seasoning is top notch. Better to call in as it could take extra long to get your order. Parking lot is super small and full of pot holes. Be careful going in and out. Never tried their sides. Just the fries. The specials all have fries. A bit pricier froM what I remember

A friend recommended this place to me and he said he never tried a "you buy, we fry" type of restaurant. It is located in a strip mall between a barber shop and another store. I went at night and it's very dark in the parking lot. I was greeted by a friendly and helpful gentleman. The menu is pretty straight forward and they have different side dishes (e.g., fresh fries, collard greens, hush puppies, potato salad and macaroni salad) and the combinations come with a roll. I ordered a side of 4 Jumbo Shrimp on the side. The first thing is the batter or coating on the fish and shrimp was very flavorful and crunchy. The fish and shrimp were fresh and the shrimp was properly cleaned. The hush puppies were fresh and did not taste like frozen ones I've had at other restaurants. The potato salad was fresh and tasty and I asked for a side of pickles, hot sauce, ketchup and tartar sauce. The whole dinner was so delicious and reasonably priced. I will definitely come back and look forward to trying out the greens and macaroni salad. Don't let the outside or surrounding neighborhood fool you. Some of the best food is in unassuming places.

Fish was cooked perfectly, not greasy and seasoned just right. Service was good and they explained everything perfectly. The place is clean and didn't have that strong fish smell like a lot of fish places have. Will be going back soon.

Fish and chicken was very good.I suggest you call in your order staff is very friendly.

J Fish Market is one of my favorite spots for fried/shrimp....its not far from my house in Torrance...my food is always fresh....i order in advance! Prices are good...

Best tartar sauce ever. It should be bottled and sold in quantities. Food tastes great and the price is a bit less than most fish markets. Prices fur all budgets. They got wings too that got that flavor. Owner is there in the store taking orders. He has great customer service and everyone respects the business. Never ever been to a fish market and did not hear anyone complain. Not one time in all the years I've been going.

Hello, I wanted to have tasty Fried cat fish and Red snapper. I ordered for pick up which was a breeze. Once I arrived my meal was ready and hot as promised. I purchased two 7.99 lunch special w/fries. It was very tasty that I forgot to snap a photo. I love a new place to go and this is it.

Fresh fish served up abundantly. I had a taste for some fried fish and decided to try this place out. I was presently surprised with the amount and quality of the fish. I would recommend this place to anyone.
