Its Tofu

Great food. Very tasty and clean environment. The place is new and compares to other soon tofu spots in Irvine.

So I've never been to BCD Tofu but I took a friend to this restaurant who goes there all the time and they told me that It's Tofu is a better and less busy version of BCD. In all honesty I still haven't been to BCD yet and after what she told me I don't think I'll be going unless I get a craving late at night Walking into the restaurant you're immediately greeted by all the employees, no matter what they're doing. The restaurant is a bit minimal as far as decor goes (at least when I went) but the food speaks mouth for itself. Even though I walked in at a busy time, myself and my friend were immediately seated and greeted by the staff. They took the time to explain the items on the menu and provide recommendations. Not even 5 mins later our waiter brought all the side dishes to the table, along with some tea and a rice pot for each of us Once the food got served we both dug in. The cut of the beef was so clean and tender, the broth with the soft tofu were phenomenal and you can tell everything on the table is fresh to order or at the very least prepared fresh daily. I made the mistake of falling in love with this place because all I do now is crave it almost 24/7 LOL My only complaint is that this place does close earlier than most restaurants, but it's not something in my book that is worth docking a star over. If you love Korean-centric food at a affordable price, this is the spot for you

First time trying this tofu spot in Irvine, and all I can say is I prefer Myung Dong in Walnut, Young Dong in Chino Hills / Diamond Bar and Arirang Tofu House in San Gabriel CA...my soup had no eggs in it. And the banchan was very mid. And for the price to value to quality ratio, I will probably go with BCD. Service was very fast here, and despite being a packed house, they seated me fairly fast. In all honesty, unless I live by here, this would not be a place I'd automatically frequent. And so it's true what they say, "Irvine is a barren land for quality tasty food."Probably because all the working class immigrants folk with all the years of authentic cooking experience all live in LA county.

We came on a weeknight and were able to walk in and be seated right away! I wanted to try this place as an alternative to other tofu places and seemed like a good place to start! The service was super friendly and quick! They checked on us frequently and I appreciated the attentiveness! I also enjoyed the meal! I got a tofu soup and the sides were plentiful! Overall I really enjoyed my time here and would come back! It is in the same plaza as Zion so it does get busy in terms of parking but you are able to find a spot!

Went by myself for a little treat and got me a hot stone beef bulgogi bibimbap. Real good! All the textures were perfect and i really loved the selection of sides. Bowl came out sizzling hot and made little bits of crispy rice at the bottom that i loved!! Huge portion too. This has lasted me 2 meals and counting. Id like to come back and try a spicy version - just tried to play it safe first! The cook did come out and slide me a fork halfway through me eating it tho. Didnt really need that. But im sure it was just a kind gesture - im very white ;). Great hot tea served alongside it too for free!

I love a good tofu soup but I'm also picky about it. First I noticed they had Bibimbap I could order as a combo with my tofu soup. Win! And it was not the stone pot version, I prefer the cold one. With this option I chose this spot over another tofu spot down the street.I'm so glad I did. The Bibimbap was delicious, I think I enjoyed it more than my tofu soup! It has the perfect amount of all the ingredients and balanced very well. I was also impressed with the kids tofu meal. It came on a meal tray with plain tofu, fried dumplings, japchae, fried egg, and rice balls. It was way too much food for my 1.5 year old (lol) but the rest of us enjoyed picking things off his plate. The extra spicy tofu soup is pretty darn spicy. I love my food spicy and it put my taste buds on overdrive. And it wasn't overpowering at all of the flavor of the soup.

This was my second time visiting on a Friday evening, and it was definitely busy! We added ourselves to the Yelp waitlist ahead of time, so by the time we got to the plaza, it didn't take too long to get seated. We ordered the brisket wagyu bulgogi combo with crab miso soondubu and a seafood soondubu. I think their banchan really stands out amongst most Korean spots, with a good amount (7 different items) and great quality. I thoroughly enjoyed them all, and the wagyu brisket was super tender + portion was pretty good as well. Overall, solid soondubu spot in Irvine that I will continue to visit! Dare I say it might even be better than BCD haha

Its Tofu offers variety of authentic Korean dishes. Grilled yellow croaker and beef tofu were outstanding and delicious. We loved all the Banchai and seafood pancake too. Service was fast and staff quietly check-in often to get what you need. Ambiance is casual and comfortable, very typical of other Tofu Korean restaurants. Highly recommended!

Back here again because its the best tofu house in irvine! Always very tasty, great service, and very clean! Oh and side dishes are also terrific
