The food and the service were great and polite staff, I like all the foods and especially I like their rib eye steak it's delicious, you can tell them that how you want your steak cook for example medium or medium well or whatever you want your steak to cook and even what sauce do you want as well... I like to go this buffet every another weekend with my parents, Especially my parents like their chicken feet it's so good... I will always come back this place for their delicious food and more.

Ambiance: the newly opened seafood buffet place in South Bay is located in a large plaza, ample parking spots available, very spacious and loud inside, good for large group gatherings, the restroom was gross and lack of maintenance Service: honestly not friendly, it took a while to get seated, and no water served until asked, and they don't really clean the plates adequately although brought the bill fairly fastFood: variety choices with emphasis on on seafood Sushi Bar - * terrible quality, either sushi or sashimi tasted dry and not fresh, and the raw fish looked so old Crab Legs - *** decent and ran out fast, and they refilled the section very slow Seafood - *** they have many shrimp dishes, salmon was good, however, crabs, craw fish, mussels and clams weren't fresh Meat - ** pork ribs are so dry and teppanyaki station cooked freshly which was nice, but the rib eye they served weren't fresh and tasted stink Salad, Fruits, and Desserts Bar - *** variety of choices, seafood salad was good and most fruits were fresh, not many choices for sweets Ice Cream - **** Wholesome Farms small cups with flavors of vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate, recommend Price: food quality wasn't very good, although worth the price for its variety, expect about $30 per person including drink

Came here with my partner because we had a free birthday meal coupon. Our expectations weren't high. We had the presumption that the food was going to be alright. Well, the food was just that...alright. The sushi rice wasn't fresh. It was evident that it was out for a while because some of the rice grains were hard and the avocado slices were oxidized. The crab legs were ok. Some of the food items were luke warm to room temperature--could be because the plates that you grab aren't warm so the food quickly cools down. The calamari were rubber-tough and the bbq'd pork ribs were also tough. The egg drop soup had absolutely no flavor. It felt like I had taken a spoonful of oil even though it didn't feel oily. Some of the food items I did enjoy were the black pepper chicken, teriyaki chicken, a buttered shrimp (shell on), beef broccoli and tofu broccoli. The braised chicken feet had really good flavor. The servers were friendly and picked up our finished plates promptly.Would I come here again? Not very likely. Maybe if I get another free birthday meal, haha.Don't come here if you're expecting the best Chinese food you'll ever have in your life or a Las Vegas-esque kind of buffet because you'll be very disappointed. Come here if you have no other place to go or if you have a free meal because everything tastes good when it's free, right?...Maybe.

My review is based upon a few factors and contexts. No, this isn't a Michelin Star culinary experience, and it's not expected to be one.In the context of an Asian AYCE All You Can Eat Buffet that's self service, it hits it's necessary marks. It has a wide variety of menu (steam tray) optionsThe food tastes freshThe food quality tastes goodIt's easy to park / find parking in the parking lotThere was not wait, and we went on NYE, a weekday Dinner time (around 5pm) and it was not crowded and the food for the most part was always stocked. The priced were amazingly perfectly priced and makes the decision to come here as a family with children incredibly appealing. If they raised their prices, it could be debatable, and they'd lose a * (the 5th star) possibly. The atmosphere is nice, well lit, clean and spacious. It's not cramped as many are nor with a dingy level of cleanliness as some of their peer AYCE Asian restaurants in the South Bay. We chose dinner specifically for the 2 menu items not available for lunch. The "Steak" (touted as Rib Eye Steak) and the "Crab" (Snow Crab Legs... then they also had other crabs of more Asian niche appeal that takes more work to eat). The steak was okay, you get what you pay for expectations, really thinly cut beef, looks less like rib eye (not marbleized to have that tenderness to it) but is cooked to order on a grill. My suggestion is to wait and watch and have them pull it off the grill early as many Asians like their beef prepared "well done" and despite the chef/cook being Hispanic, not Asian, many of the patrons are and the nature of 1/4" thin steaks is they cook fast and when they're overcooked it becomes less forgiving and tough where under cooking (a true rare to medium rare) can make almost any cut of beef tasty, edible if not delicious by nature of being tender. The crab legs were okay, on par with every other Asian AYCE buffet and for the price was totally fine meeting expectations. Usually they're previously frozen and a bit salty, steamed/boiled and served cold on ice which is the norm. They had a good selection of sushi and a lot of decent choices of sashimi, just the raw fish, no rice, which is a nice option. The kids menu pricing ends at 6 years old for the lowest prices for the smallest children. They had some dim sum options and the steamed chicken feet were soft and tender with the right moisture and sauce/seasoning which was unexpectedly a pleasant surprise. They had cooked fish, I think a Salmon and a White Fish which were both good. There's a full salad bar, lots of varied Chicken options, some vegetables, a few non-Asian food items like Pizza and French Fries (geared towards the kids).I'd highly recommend this to families. It's not a date-night dress to impress place of course, more of family styled casual comfort food dining. Still tip your servers and establishment 'tho there's a perception you're doing all of the work serving yourself, when they're stocking the food, getting the beverages and there's also the cooking staff to consider too.The service was friendly and nice and getting the food was a DIY, do it yourself, self-service. My advice to my friends to avoid waste is just pick 1 small piece or serving of any item first then taste it to then figure out when you go back for "round 2" of the AYCE you select what you like and want rather than take a big scoop or many pieces of an entree you end up not liking and leaving it as uneaten "garbage" which the owners and wait staff hate and inevitably leads to subsequent overhead cost increases that results in higher prices for consumers, so be consciences and respectful by not being wasteful. The inconsideration by one is suffered by all :)

Price is very reasonable, about $22.00 per person for the dinner service, 10% senior discount. Large selection of typical Chinese buffet foods, this one had chicken Feet which you don't often see at buffets in this area, several different types of crab, multiple shrimp dishes. Mongolian bbq station, lots of fish and typical salad and dessert bars. Overall the food was average, staff was on top of everything, plates cleared and drinks refilled without asking. Good place to go if you are in the mood for buffet.

First time at Ichiban Buffet in Gardena. Good location as the eatery is spacious. Plenty of parking spots as their parking lot is huge. We came for dinner buffet on a weekend. We dined for a family member's birthday celebration. They called ahead to reserve seats for 30 people. They gave us the back hall with doors that you can close with easy access to buffet area. Plenty of seating for private party. Great customer service from check in to end of the party. I give them 5 stars for excellent customer service. They stopped by several times to replenish our drinks without us even having to ask them to. They also stopped by many times to pick up used and finished plates. The buffet section had what the celebrant was looking for. Ichiban Buffet had fresh huge crabs, crab legs, variety of sushi, variety of fruits, salad, deserts of cakes and pastries, a freezer for ice cream in sealed cups and ice cream sandwiches. They also had dim sum, siopao, taro buns (must try), 3 types of noodles, different types of grilled meat. They had a teppanyaki station to be exact. They offered what you would think Asian buffets would offer including white rice and fried rice. Only thing I didn't notice was soup. I don't recall them having any type of soups. Also not plenty of options when it came to seafood with the exception of sushi and salmon. They were good and timely in replenishing food items. You can tell the food was just cooked and grilled fresh. The price point is also not bad at $21.99 per person. We can't wait to come back and try them out again when they are not so busy.

Parking is in a commercial parking lot nice and big you shouldn't have a problem with finding parking. Food: I mean where can I even start. When I walked in we ordered our drinks and went straight to it. I started off with the crab legs and sushi which I must say were very very good. The ambience was great we went towards the end of the night on a Sunday so we were pretty much with a couple of families it was perfect I will definitely be going back.

All you can eat seafood buffet. Similar to others. Plenty of parking outside, lots of tables inside. There was a neat little aquarium with a bunch of glofish. Staff was nice, especially our server. They have a lot of choices. They make it a point to refill empty trays. Only tray that I saw empty was the crabs. But that was because everyone was getting it lol. Theres sushi and rolls. One or two of the rolls had an interesting taste. Not sure how to explain. I guess it had an ingredient that just stood out to me. The coconut shrimp was good. Of course had to try that. The fried shrimp and shrimp from the cajun dish were my repeat items. There was also the usual broccoli beef, cheese mussel, black pepper shrimp and more. All mentioned, I liked. Some desserts did not have labels. The jello had a hard outer layer for some reason. More of like gelatin than jello. But tastes like jello. There is a hidden area next to the sushi for the ice cream. I like how they were individually packaged cups. Tried the chocolate ice cream and it was a 9/10. Creamy and cold. I had a blue ribbon ice cream sandwich as well. Nice cold treat. All in all a decent seafood buffet.

i saw signs about a new AYCE buffet opening up in the area. This space has gone through a few of them. I remember it being a Hometown Buffet once, and I think there might have been another one after, then it was closed for a bit. It only makes sense it's another buffet since it's pretty much built for it. I was getting my nails done from a block away and staff there said it really isn't bad, and that you get a lotta bang for your buck. To top it off, there was a flyer and a coupon in my mail, so I dragged my Mom and my niece here to finally check them out. For the price (plus the 10% off coupon) it really isn't bad. They have a good selection of sushi and salad. They even have a teppanyaki section. Lots of steamed and fried foods as well as fruit and soup. They also have grub for kids. And what I like is that they refill the almost empty trays quickly. They are popular - most of the tables and booths were occupied due to the lunch rush. FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 3.5. Service with a smile, drinks were refilled when needed, plates and utensils were picked up quickly. VALUE: 4 . . PARKING: Private lot shared with others. Street parking is also available, but plenty of spaces on the private lot. OVERALL: 4.25TIP: Senior citizens get a 10% discount. Better than good first run! Will most likely return!

Came on a Monday at 630pm with a party of two and was seated immediately. Everything we ate was delicious with the exception of the cheese cake it was dry but them shrimps were delicious. Loved that they had crab legs and ice cream not many places have those for this price point. Will definitely be coming again especially since it's cheaper than a lot of all you can eat places.
