Since we are going to Tokyo, Japan, in two months, we decided to visit one of our favorite sushi spots, I Luv Sushi. It had been a while since our last visit, and we noticed that while the menu options had changed, the customer service remained excellent. I ordered the 1/2 Roll Sampler, which included the "Red, Yellow, Green" rolls, while my wife chose the Three Amigos Hand Roll and Poke Tuna. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was fantastic, especially since they were showing the NFL playoff games on TV. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy sushi.

At 3000 reviews and an average of 4.5 stars, I luv sushi is a locals favorite for sushi rolls. I've been here many times for happy tummy hour after work between 3p-6p. On paper, it's a solid deal; however, I feel that quality has slipped over the years. I have to say that my last few experiences have been lackluster.For "happy tummy hour", I was able to get three items for $31. I got a baked green mussels, spicy tuna over crispy rice, and their tsunami roll. Their Tsunami roll has spicy tuna, scallop and shrimp on the inside and albacore and red onion on top. You could also get a beer for $5 during these hours.My problem is that the flavors and textures were not good. Fish was oxidized. The spicy tuna was chopped/minced too finely, which made it taste like sriracha-fish puree. Roll sizes were actually too big, which can be problematic because it could be hard to get a balanced bite of your roll or tuna with crispy rice. I'd have to equate the quality to a buffet.I was debating on a one-star review; however, service was friendly/nice and value for happy hour is decent. My problem is solely with flavors, which have not been great for me as of late. Feel free to disagree with me, because this place still averages 4.5 stars. Of restaurants on yelp, I find that opinions on Sushi restaurants tend to vary the highest. For the most precise recommendations on sushi, I recommend that you follow reviewers with tastes that are similar to your own. As of late, when I want sushi, I find that fish quality and texture matters. I may come back again someday, and I hope that I enjoy it; however, I don't think it will be anytime soon.

I've come here multiple times... just me and my boyfriend, with my family, with my boyfriend's family, with our friends... you get the picture. It's never let me down! In flavor, in serving sizes, in price, in value... it's always a win!I'd say the best time to go is during happy hour because you get the most bang for your buck. But sometimes the wait can be really long, so have a snack before you go so you're not hangry. I used to love this place but lately it's been off... I don't know what happened, but the quality of the sushi appears to have gone down. Dine in: I brought my mom to dine in for her birthday because she wanted sushi, but was disappointed in their spicy salmon roll, which we ordered as part of the lunch special set. It had a terrible gooey texture and the tres amigos was okay... Their best roll was the baked scallop roll and the spicy tuna hand roll I had that day. The salmon nigiri was fire, but unfortunately that was only 1 piece. The service was even lacking that day, my sister found herself correcting our server on what applied to the lunch special and what didn't...Takeout: I used to love the 9-1-1, Atlantic, and Sunrise rolls, but was absolutely disappointed in the quality the last time I ordered from them takeout. My boyfriend and I usually order sushi from here or dine in, getting these exact rolls. They hit different, in a not-so-great way.The ambiance has changed because I think the staffing did too... Either that, or I haven't come at the right time, but the service appears to have declined since I was last there. I'll try again in a few months before making my final decision

Really good sushi and I love the rolls they have here! I had the shishito peppers, the extreme crunchy, American dragon, and the yellowtail with jalapeño (half). I loveee spicy tuna and the extreme crunchy and American dragon was really good! I love that they made the American dragon look like a dragon - it's such a nice touch! Overall really love coming here! The parking is very tight and small in this parking lot though but I was able to find parking in the neighborhood nearby!

Finally tried this place! My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on a Friday night and we loved it. We waited about 15 mins to get seated, they were busy!Once seated we got greeted right away. We started out with the yellowtail with jalapeños for an appetizer and it was awesome! Probably my favorite thing! We got the American dragon role and the sampler "abc" which had 3 smaller rolls on it. Everything was great!! We will definitely be back and since we live in the area we will become regulars when we need our sushi fix, I am sure :)

I give this location 5 stars....Atmosphere is a 5, love the sushi bar setup and also the table setup for families. Totally cool Asian vibe for sure. Food quality is a 5, I do not take this lightly. This is some of the freshest sushi I have ever eaten. Loooove the blue fin tuna. Amazing, and the special wasabi sauce is out of this world. A must try.Customer service is a 5 spot on! The sushi chefs take care of you and go out of their way and they love to get creative for you. The servers are on top of it also.Pricing is fantastic! Such a decent price for the previous 3 bullet point. Well worth it.All in all I love this place, I have traveled many places and I was skeptical because this is a chain. Not at all disappointed and actually surprised at how great the establishment is. This place is now my go to. Do yourself a favor and visit.
