House of Hayden

Came in tonight (10/03/24) around 12am at the end of my nightly walk. Super cool atmosphere, clean bar and the bartender was super sweet and attentive. I think her name was Jessica? She made me a lovely drink and was quick and fun with the bar-talk. 11 out of 10 on bartender-ing!I've walked by this place like 100 times and never went in, my mistake. Great little bar with a lovely bartender. Clean bathroom! (thank god). I'd totally recommend this bar for your DTLB chill dive bar setting.

I came here on Monday night after a long day of work, massaging a client friend and going on a non-date kinda date with the massage client friend. I've never been here before but I've always driven by and wanted to check it out. Wasn't sure what it'd be like but when we came here, it was empty and we got to play pool and play music on the jukebox! Old school but cool jukebox! He gave me $5 so I picked 18 songs! lol! Don't forget to bring CASH! It's CASH ONLY! Other than that, the bar tender gentleman was cool about me not drinking and gave me water with a lemon! :)Tonight, I came solo. Been wanting to play pool again. So I stopped by. Was gonna go on a date but the guy didn't reply (had a long day at work so he probably passed out) so with my makeup on, I threw on a cute sweatshirt and flats and came out to play! Maybe I'll see y'all around! Xoxo

Amazing Bar! Great atmosphere and people. Very clean and well kept. Such a value with a excellent drink selection. Dave the owner and bar tender is very kind.

Place was amazing. The owner/bartender was outstanding. Customers were friendly. Nice local bar. I'll definitely come back. Place was nice and clean, nicely decorated. I truly recommend to stop by.

It's an ok bar. Just beware that they do not accept card payments so you will need to carry cash or withdraw from the atm inside and pay the fee.

Really cool dive bar in Long Beach. We were getting an early start and they were open before 5 PM so we had to stop by. Cash only, but we were prepared. This place has the right selection of whiskey - not too many but some good ones. They can make a variety of cocktails too, but the focus here is beer and whiskey. The bar itself is super clean (even including the bathrooms). This place attracts all kinds who all get along. If I lived in the area, this would be my neighborhood bar. There are plenty of upscale places in the area, but come on down to House of Hayden (look for the neon lighted martini glass).

This can be a really fun cool place. Unfortunately some of the bartenders become involved with certain patrons and ignore others. Especially. tonight, after Dave left this other guy took over. Had a t-shirt with prominent lettering, but was obscured by the shirt. I simply asked him what his t-shirt said and he got defensive saying he doesn't respond to orders. I would have stayed but left and never will be there when he is bartending.

I love this bar! So unassuming from outside. Def gives whiskey bar vibes. My bf and I came in here and spoke to the bartender a bit. Older guy who was super chill. He gave us steak sauce to shoot some whiskey with lol. Kind of divey but not in a bad way. Prob one of my fav bars in the area, especially if I'm not trying to in the wild young drinking scene.

THE BEST LOCAL BAR IN LONG BEACH!Gotta love Dave Hayden... he makes you feel at home and pours one hell of a good drink, at very reasonable prices, and surprises guests with complimentary pop up shots for everyone. He made us a shoot the roof, the kind eraser, and the rooster. (Pics below). This is a locals bar and we met some great people!The bar is gorgeous, every bit designed by Dave himself. The aged brick walls, cool lighting, look for the details... funky decor hidden around the rafters and random places. The bathrooms are SPOTLESS! Pool table and darts as well. Dave accepts CASH ONLY, but does have an ATM.

Walked into this bar on accident but the workers were cool & drinks are reasonably priced. I get my haircut down the street and decided to stop by. Glad I did
