HKE had always been my go-to for many years. Started coming here around 2006 when it was managed by 2 older ladies if my memory serves right and the food was always good, Then a few years ago they changed again to a younger couple and the food became even better. I recently visited again on 2 separate occasions and I just couldn't believe how much the good quality has gone down. The chow mein was very greasy and overpowered the rice flavor. The bbq pork was also greasy with a lot of fatty. My favorite item, the crunchy spicy chicken, was incredibly dry and lacked flavor as if though it had been sitting for hours. such was the Teriyaki chicken on my 2nd visit. I also ordered a thai iced tea, and it was just too sweet. The place was clean and the service was fast. As much as I enjoyed coming here, I was simply not impressed this time around. For now, I'll hold off on this spot.

This has become my go to chinese takeout place. I get three meals out of their 2 entree combo. They pack that box full of food until it's overflowing. The chow mein is delicious. I usually get the teriyaki chicken or BBQ pork as one entree. They cut it up into pieces and it's always tender. The beef & broccoli is my other fave. The broccoli soaks up the sauce and becomes so flavorful.

We spotted this place after going to grab something to eat from Waba Grill, so decided to go in and check out their menu. They said that they didn't have menus, so my boyfriend started to take photos of their menu and prices, so that we can look them over for another time. I asked the guy behind the counter if I could sample some orange chicken & the rude look this dude was giving was very off putting plus he provided a burnt sample. We will never go back there. It takes more than good food, it also takes good customer service which they obviously doesn't understand or care. They just lost one! Bum bum bum bum!

My all time favorite Chinese food spot. Quick and amazing service. Highly suggest the bbq pork, spicy boneless chicken, orange chicken with of course half and half.The egg rolls are pretty good. Can't forget the sweet&sour sauce.And I am IN LOVE with their Thai tea!! Sooooo goood!!

The food delicious and cheap , service was fast and amazing , store clean no trash , will come again when I'm near by .

Best Chinese food west of Long Beach Blvd. They give you so much food and the customer service is on point. The rice and noodles are my favorite here. Definitely give this place a try.

Shrimp Fried Rice . Fly in food but maybe it was my luck . I ordered shrimp fried rice and when i was picking out the pees i seen something dark and i scooped it and boom ! A dead fly . Now I'm not saying that all their food got it in there but this happen to me . I ordered here before and the food was good but this definitely gave me trust issues .

This place is the bomb! I often work at the nearby hospital and always come here for lunch any chance I get. Idk if they give me more food because of the work clothes I'm wearing or if everyone gets the mountain of food all the same but you definitely get more than you pay for and it keeps me coming back. People complaining about quality are expecting a sit down restaurant experience at a take out establishment. It might not be the healthiest food but that's NOT what you come here for. Their ribs on a skewer are delicious and the pork I can eat all day long. I love the food coma I get after devouring a "plate B" of food with some egg rolls in my short breaks. If you need a large serving of some A-B tier food and don't care about the healthyness factor all too much then this is the place to go.

Most disgusting place I've ever had in my life. We got two fountain drinks (Dr.pepper and a coke) that tasted like bleach. I take a bite of the food and almost threw up across the table. Orange chicken wasn't made with chicken. Beef broccoli tasted like they marinated it between their butt cheeks. Never again. Disgusting!
