5 stars for helpful employees. Had to give three for overall experience. Good meat here but owner was a not very helpful, crazy to lie to your loyal customers about something so simple too.

This place was the absolute best back in the day. I haven't been here in years but when I used to go they had the butcher in the back. He used to cut turkey chops to order and you could watch him grind and stuff the sausages fresh. They had "bundles" of meat for really good prices. I believe they used to start at $50... I remember they had a package that had chicken wings, turkey necks, turkey wings, sausages, thick cut bacon and something else... The meat was always fresh. They also had fresh vegetables and other grocery and household items.I gotta get back to see how this place is these days.The store itself was just ok for me.

Hilltop markets quality of items here were fresh and the service was friendly and fast.

It's a great meat market in Los Angeles! Someone mentioned it to me. I recommend it highly..

The cashier is rude and argumentative. She was disrespectful and sarcastic with me as a customers. They really need to have a talk with her and I will make mention of that to the owners.

I've been coming to this market, on and off, for the past 15 plus years. I came yesterday, 1.20.24, purchased a whole chicken, the butcher cut it. I return the chicken and the butcher told, he can't help if the chicken looked like this. I didn't want any $ back but just acknowledge your mistake. I walked out with nothing. I will not return. ​​

Quality of meat was not that great. Turkey wing flats had dark and black spot. This establishment is stuck in a time war zone ans only accepts cash in modern technology world. Customer service was not great. Felt totally rushed at the eat market to hurrily make meat selections. Will not return to this place.

Cash only! It's kinda dark and cramped inside and not bright like a regular grocery store but it's my go to spot for Zumo's pork, crawfish, and shrimp Boudain. I'm from Alexandria, Lousiana and love the food and snacks I was raised on. You can find most brands here. I wish they carried Richard's brands but Zumo is an excellent substitute. The hog head cheese sucks though. It tastes pickled. Blue Runner beans in the can makes a bomb quick dinner too. Sauté onions, bell pepper, celery and sausages and dump in the beans and you might be able to fool someone into thinking it was cooked from scratch! This store is a one stop shop if you're in a hurry because they carry lots of household and basic needs items as well. Check expiration dates before buying.

I'm going down to my home (L.A.) this week for thanksgiving & I'm definitely going to Hilltop to get me some baby turkey wings, some pork chops & bacon..love their meat
