High Horse Saloon

I have been in a few times both times on a Sunday. Our waitress Lennon was wonderful. Our favorites have been the pickle fries, the onion rings and the burger. The only miss we have had is sometimes the martinis are not as dirty as I like them (I love a filthy martini - I know personal preference but I let them know) and the wings were okay. Wouldn't order them again. They have a cute photo booth in the back.The music is pretty loud but to be expected.

Fish and chips are awful. The fish is heavily battered (like ~.5 inch thick all around) and soggy, not crispy at all.The service was nice and standard. Everything else was fine.

Super fun spot! Had a small GNO and this place was it! In middle of Downtown Fullerton with parking available almost every corner we had a blast. We enjoyed our beer in a huge Milk jug (super fun). Service here is perfect, our server knew exactly what we wanted and catered to our needs!Was told that after 10pm they do $10 shots with some DJ jamming music for tall the dancers to come out and take over the dance floor!

Went back this past Friday to celebrate my birthday with same friends from last review! Had another amazing time! Food, cocktails and service were perfection. We got Alex at first, who was eager to match our excitement and energy! And then we got surprised to see Abby! She was our gracious server last time, and was equally welcoming. The big windows facing Harbor were open, and the breeze was fresh and comfortable. My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time. Thank you for having incredible staff and mouth watering food!!

We stumbled upon this place looking for some food on a Saturday night. The decor is very cool with cowboy boots hanging over the bar and real country twang. I had low expectations for the food, but was pleasantly surprised. We got the pickle fires to start which were fried spears and pretty good. I got the chick-in dinner which was pretty salty and had a lot of sauce, but I enjoyed it. I would like to come back and see line dancing at this place.

This is the old Florentine's! IYKYK! I love what high horse did with the place. So country, so cowboy, so inviting. We visited on a Thursday at 5:30pm. I made reservations through Yelp but honestly, you don't need them. There's plenty of tables open. The bar is the main attraction. It's big and beautifully made. Thanks to our waitress, she gave us the heads up about it being happy hour still. Ended up ordering from the happy hour menu which is about 6-9 bucks cheaper than the regular menu. I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich with fries. It had a little kick and was so good! My friend ordered the outlaw burger with tater tots. She claimed it was delicious. For a starter we ordered the deviled eggs and they were some of the best I've had. There were Halloween themed drinks so we tried Beetlejuice and poison apple. SO GOOD and so fun! Such a chill spot. They have live music most nights. Just not the Tuesday night we visited. Parking out back. Can hang out there for drinks or go to other bars close by.

The drinks here are decent, the food I had here was not bad but also not good. It's a very lively and quite busy bar and it looks like they have a lot of events and line dancing! The servers were also all attentive. I just think it wasn't my favorite personally bc of the food and we had to move from the bar bc they take all the seats away for line dancing but others seem to love it here.

Security guards were a delight. Super friendly and approachable However the bartenders were absolutely horrific. One was making a comment of how much she hated Hispanics and snatched the menu from my hand. Said she didn't serve the alcohol I wanted. Mind u I hadn't said I word. I simply grabbed my belongings and left. Not coming back here ever again.

We usually frequent downtown Fullerton but on the south side (Heros, Roscoes, etc..) so we just started recently crossing over to the north side. High Horse basically shares a kitchen with it's sister bar next door Mickeys Pub, so the food is all pretty much the same with just a couple of different takes. Drink's wise, you'll get a lot of whiskey selections here. Prices are a little high so best to come during Happy Hour if you can. They do have some good country music playing so that's a bonus.

Good food, fun atmosphere, and the staff are all super friendly. Happy to have a place that feels like a small town bar/restaurant.
