Hibachi Street LA

I'm shocked to see this place does not have any reviews, much less a page full of five star reviews. I was coming home from work and just as I was about to get on the freeway I turned the corner and saw this amazing (large) collection of street vendors, food trucks, merchandise, music etc.. on the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Figueroa (just before the entrance to the 110 freeway) I was starving I knew there would be a good variety of food options so I pulled in and parked. What a fun experience! I ended up settling on this Hibachi spot and oh my goodness their food was absolutely fantastic!!!! My intention was to save it until I got home but I was driving to Orange County and the smell of the food just made me dig in immediately! I go to many Japanese restaurants with this style of Tappan cooking, it's one of my favorite meals and this place knocks it out of the park! The taste of the meal was amazing, the flavor of the garlic butter was just enough (not too much garlic/not too little) they did not overuse soy sauce/salt (which many places do) The quality of the meat was very good (I had New York steak) and the meal overall was a great value for what I paid! AND the service was super friendly and pretty quick for cooking an entire meal on a street corner!!! Cant wait to go back!!!

Food is good honestly but they are very stingy with the meat all the time. I payed 20$ for a couple bits of steak and overload the rice this is not the first time either I don't mind paying 20$ but man at least put a good amount of steak. Sadly I like the food a lot and wish they were more generous but I'll never eat there again
