Hawkins House of Burgers

Delicious food here the burgers are bomb. Met Mrs Hawkins at a doctors appointment she told me about her place and how famous her burgers were and I love burgers and made a point to go try from Anaheim and it was worth the drive and will definitely be back Walk up window no seating big parking lot across the street

The food is 10/10, the wait... 1/10. The good: the food is so good and nothing quite compares to the taste of Hawkins.. when that craving shows up, you tend to wind up back at the restaurant for a delicious burger, fries and drink. The bad: The wait is almost always worth considering, especially if you don't have the time or patience. If you've never had it, it's a local favorite and always has people from all over the place coming to see what the fuss is about. Everyone I've ever taken there has always left happy with the food and mentioned it afterwards.

This review is for the dessert and drinks Came for lunch on a Friday - we ordered 2 burgers and fries with a bunch of desserts. Order took about 20 minutes. There were a few people in line waiting for their orders. There's a parking lot across the street if you prefer to wait in your car.Now to the desserts! They had a box with 2 slices of cake - lemon and strawberry. The cakes were from "Rhonda's sinful desserts", the slices l were moist with tangy, flavorful icing. Think boxed cake but better. Thought the cakes here were more flavorful than Sweet Red Peach :)The strawberry lemonade was SO GOOD. They said it was homemade and it def tasted like it. Light ice with lil bits of strawberry in it. Hawkins does NOT skimp on the flavor

Tried this place recently. It's cheaper than most burgers in the LA metro but I'm not quite sold on it. It's the kind of burger that I'd expect in an average backyard cookout. Nothing fancy, nothing that makes it memorable either..

Best burgers in Los angeles period. Service is always on point. Don't forget to get the kool aid! Hits the spot. Wish I lived closer. But definitely worth the drive.

It's good but could use improvements as customer care has gone down.I try to call in before work and always get put on hold for 10 minutes on average or longer.Website doesn't let me place the order in advance. Stray animals in the area I've seen cats and dogs.No dining area or spots to eat. Hot link is whatever burger is good French toast breakfast was better than other spots but the ease of ordering has definitely gone down in the years I've been coming here

More from the Culinary Quests w/Mac and Boomer. This one is a bit overdue. We went here in the spring of 2024. I can't really say it's the best burger I've had in Los Angeles but it is definitely up there! And dollar for dollar it packs a wallop! The burgers we got were so heavy, our arms got tired just trying to get them to our mouths! :-) the owners are so friendly. We had a great conversation with them and the other customers waiting. All in all a terrific experience and another great find. And don't forget to visit the Watts Towers nearby!!

Damn. Sad to say it's not all it's cracked up to be. I love big juicy burgers with all the toppings and this place definitely has all that. I don't like eating 45 minutes for burgers and friesThe area is more sketch than you'd think. So 45 min in the hood is not ok for a fast food meal.

I have been coming to Hawkins, when the mini mart was a dining area. The fat burger combo is my go-to meal with added cheese and bacon (you got to add the bacon). Haven't tried everything on the menu cause the burger always calls to me. I've tried the chicken wings as a shared appetizer, which was ok. They also have burritos, tacos, and corn dogs but haven't got around to trying them yet.
