Hannam Chain Marketplace offers Korean and other food places in Los Angeles and beyond. Particular to this branch is their fresh vegetables and fruits like Korean pears, corn, imported apples and others, i.e., cabbages, etc.I love their meat section cause it offers excellent cuts of pork belly, beef ribs, oxtails and chicken, too. They also sell packaged sushi and sashimi BUT I was never a fan of how they make their sushi and source their fish. Compared to genuine and authentic Japanese restaurants and markets, their sashimi isn't the best in the market, perhaps like a C plus for me.Their prices are about moderate but their meat cuts are better than other ordinary stores in Los Angeles.

My first time visiting this market after the change of ownership and big renovation. It was beautifully done. The store is clean and well organized. Great selections on items from Korea and fresh sashimi collections.There are also food court, bakery and retail stores selling beauty products. Large parking lot with plenty of parking spots.

Hannam Chain K Pop style! I am remembering the upbeat K Pop music that was playing as I perused the aisles of this grocery store. Had brunch with friends at the diner across the parking lot and was curious to check out this Korean market.It reminded me of another Asian market in how it's laid out and what's available. There are unique produce items like persimmons that are now in season among others. There are specialty items in the front upon entry and the middle section of the front is a customer service section where you can purchase CA lotto tickets.The sweets or bakery (not a full service bakery) section had interesting sweets that I did not purchase. There is also a tiny restaurant within the store. What I purchased were thin meat slices to do shabu shabu. Also got some pork belly. Both items were very inexpensive.As for the customer service, it was OK.Not a place I would regularly purchase groceries but, if I wanted to get the same items again, it's a maybe. 3 stars!

I really like this store. It's old, it's cluttered, it needs remodeling but I still like it. Great selection of produce and prices. I love stopping here when I'm in the mood for an Asian meal. Ok, bye.

This is my fav Korean Market in the area. The fresh marinated meats has been my go to (spicy pork bulgogi) and they have all the yummy side dishes that will save you time from having to make it yourself. Fresh produce -- this time I got Chinese eggplant that are nearly 12" long and green onionsThe staff is pleasant for the most part. Favorable experiences with the butchers. They have a premade hot food section with all sorts of yumminess. This time got assorted gimbab, fried squash, fried squid and dumplings. Hungry eyes post gym time. #noregrets

This is my go to grocery store since I often cook Asian food. This place is esp good for cooking Korean food but even if I'm cooking Japanese or Chinese food, there's a good enough variety for them. Compared to Hmart, this place is cheaper! I go to Hmart if I need more of a variety but I go to this store more for the prices. Everything is very fresh I've gotten everything like daikon, mushrooms, pomelo, plum, scallions, bean sprouts, frozen seafood, fresh black cod, tofu, dumpling skin! I love how I can always count on this place for cooking healthy Asian food!

I've purchased items multiple times and tho I like the products the customer service needs A LOT of improvement. I love buying my kimchi, pork belly and other stuff here. I'm reluctant to go because I always end up feeling off. I always say hi to the cashier ringing me up and they either don't say anything back to me or make it seem like they don't want to greet me. I don't know what that's about, I notice they treat other Asian customers different. Is it a language barrier? Are they having a bad day? I don't know. Last time I went the cashier was very friendly with the person infront of me and the person behind me (both customers were asian) and she treated me differently for sure.

Very poor customer service. The only person who was friendly was the woman promoting seaweed ate the entrance of the store. I tried to get numerous people to help me. And no one took the time to see what I wanted. Just to let the manager of this store know a smile goes a long way. The associates at this store made me feel so un welcome. This was my first time ever coming to this store. I think you guys should welcome new business. But I guess since I'm not Korean. I get treated bad.

Loved Hannam Chain Market I used to go to the original store on Olympic. Bright, clean, very good prices and same quality as the original store. Used to go to HMart but Hannam is less expensive and so much better quality.

Service 0 stars They just locked the door without any notice. People are waiting outside to go shopping without any reasons. No surprise at all with their poor customer service. Never understand why they are so rude, unkind to customers. One lady told it's under health inspection. You could write down on a piece of paper to inform waiting customers outside. Nobody seems to love their workplace. Maybe company treats them badly. That's why they have no smiles ??
