Habachihana Grill Food Truck

I've driven by this so many times ,as a fact my brother used to have an apartment right across the street. I've seen the restaurant in Santa Monica. So in true Crystal form you know I pulled over snatched up some Japanese food. $17 a bowl which came with rice noodles and vegetables for me. I think it was amazing ! I don't know how I just forgot that I'm not supposed to eat white flour but yeah I had it. Been feeling so bummed that I broke my no White flour record luckily the food was much bomber than my guilt. Making better choices tomorrow.

It's a basic but enjoyable meal. Grilled veggies seem to be bathed in butter, the steak and scallop portions, while on the small side, are just ample enough to be a reasonable meal-- especially considering they pack an ample portion of fried rice into the container.Ginger sauce indeed had ginger, but also a bit too much salt... which was the same for the other sauce they gave me (which seemed like ginger, but was purely liquid?).It doesn't rise to anything special, and things like shrimp and scallop and steak aren't cheap... but the price is still (just) manageable. Roll with reasonable expectations?

Fried rice is really good. The service is pretty quick. I've been to other trucks that take like 30 min. Horrible location, drive by it a few times before we found it in the 76 gas station.

I got the salmon and chicken combination and it is sooooo good! Plenty of flavor and plenty of food! Who needs Benihana when you can just go here!

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a hibachi place and thanks to Habachihana, I will happily NEVER eat hibachi from anywhere ever again. I ordered a steak/chicken plate yesterday (6/18/21) from their truck. I asked for Medium rare steak and was served dry, overcooked chicken and steak that was medium well at best. I begrudgingly ate maybe a third of my meal before calling it quits. The steak was tough and unseasoned and the chicken flavorless and dry. My cat wasn't even interested in taking a bite. Around 4am I woke up in a cold sweat and a familiar tightness in my chest. I grabbed several plastic bags and perched upon my porcelain throne where, until about 5:34am, I regurgitated the entire third of the hibachi plate that I'd consumed maybe 6 hours earlier.It tasted exactly the same coming up as it did going down. This was my first time visiting habachihana as I usually frequent benihibachi in LA. Thanks to Habachihana, I won't be dining at any hibachi establishments for the rest of the foreseeable future. Save your goddamn money and gastrointestinal system and eat anywhere else. Literally, see that Jack In The Box across the street? Go there. You will have a better time.

I love this place so much. The service is great. The food is amazing. I could drink the ginger sauce. Considering the limited kitchen on the truck, the time you wait for food is not long at all. I recommend the steak plate.

Food is great but twice I have placed a phone order and when I show up 40 mins later them seem to not put the order in.Odd thing is they never say sorry or take any blame hahah and wait in additional 20/30 mins.So if you place a phone order please check up on the order every 10 mins.

This place is and has been a bit of a mystery to me, we ate there the very first day they were open, and really liked the food. Since then, we have been back and observed operational thinks that seem a bit odd, and things I thinks as a business owner myself, would run differently, but that's not a lesson for this format for sure, bottom line is the food is good, ask for light pepper, and you might find it more gratifying, and for two order the dinner special for $50 at the time theyRan it, and it should be honored. Fried rice is good. Would recommend.
