Chicken on a truck. Yeah, roasted potatoes as well. Some of the best rotisserie chicken I've ever had -- it's well spiced and all the locally grown, organically fed birds are cooked while spinning down the highway. I pick up often at the Echo Park Farmer's Market. From their Web site, here are the other Markets the Grill Masters truck frequents:MondaysWest Hollywood: Plummer Park 9 AM --- 2 PMSouth Gate: Tweedy & Pinehurst 9 AM - 1 PMTuesdaysManhattan Beach: 13th Street between Valley & Morningside Drives 12 - 4 PMOld Los Angeles: Highland Park 3 PM - 8 PM WednesdaysDowntown Los Angeles: West 5th Street 11:30 AM --- 3 PMThursdaysWestwood: Vets Garden 12 PM - 6 PMSouth Pasadena: Meridian Ave & Mission Street 3 PM - 7 PMFridaysLong Beach: East Broadway/The Promenade North 10 AM --- 4 PMEcho Park: Logan Street/Sunset Blvd. 3 PM - 7 PMSaturdaysCalabasas: Calabasas Road 9 AM --- 1 PMLaguna Beach: Forest Dr/Lumber Yard Parking Lot 8 AM - 12 PMSundaysLarchmont: Larchmont Blvd/Beverly Blvd 9 AM --- 1 PMBeverly Hills: Civic Center Drive 9 AM - 1 PM

Remember the Chicken Hawk? That ol' tricky Foghorn Leghorn was always trying to pull one over on that chicken hawk. He'd say he's a horse, then point to a dog or something and tell that over anxious chicken hawk, "there's a chicken son!".I ran into old Foghorn Leghorn at the Larchmont Farmer's Market. And this is what he told me... "We'll I say sonny, there's a chicken right over there. Yes that nice man has plenty of chicken. Chicken thats slow roasted with fresh herbs and spices, kid. That's right son, dripping in butter, that's the chicken you want boy! Go on over and taste that chicken son!"Here chick, chick, chick, chick, chick!

The line for the chicken at the Larchmont Farmer's Market suggested this was worth a shot. We showed up too late last wk and the chicken was sold out. We make sure to get in early this time. It was a good call! We got a whole chicken, a couple pitas, and some of the chef's hot sauce. The chicken was tender, juicy, and delicious! Phenomenal! The hot sauce is a winner, too! I'm looking forward to trying the potatoes next time and buying the hot sauce in bulk! It's that good!

Yes. 5 Stars and I mean it!This is LA's best kept secret. The rotisserie chicken stand at the Hollywood farmers market makes the most insanely delicious chicken I have ever had. The herbs, the spices, the fall off the bone juiciness. This stuff should not even be legal. The roasted potatoes are piled up and resting under the chickens as they turn and drip their heavenly juices upon them. GET IT! Just get it! And get the garlic sauce on the side. It is potent and spicy! A little goes a long way.Cash only!

Hmm... had to drop it down a star because I bought a half chicken with the last of my money and it was definitely on the dry side. Service was great as always, but for 6 bucks, I was not as happy with my purchase since the chicken was incredible the first time. I think it was left on the spit for too long. I will give them another chance, but if it is dry next time, the star rating will drop to 3. Consistency is big in my book, but I will give them a chance for now.

I was not planning on buying lunch but when I saw the Grill Masters rotisserie on wheels at the La Canada Farmers Market this afternoon I had to try it. If you've ever had Roli-Roti in San Francisco you know the delights of potatoes cooked entirely in meat drippings. It's ridiculous. The Roli-Roti does pork (which I must admit I like better than chicken) but Grill Master deals solely in chicken. All fresh, never frozen, natural rotisserie chickens with no added butter or oils. Pretty damn amazing. And as those chickens rotate about on the rotisserie the drippings from said chickens are falling directly onto a mound of cubed up potatoes and slivers of onion that lay below turning them into a feast fit for royalty.I only tried the half rotisserie chicken and the potato's. They were both fabulous. This chicken is right up there with Zankou and it's nice to have a little change of pace. Super crisp skin, great flavor, lots of herbs, and moist meat inside. And those potato's are a godsend. I promise you. I will be on the lookout for Grill Masters again in order to try the hummus and other offerings in the very near future. Finger licking good :)

Tuesdays are tough days. It's not Monday, but it's not Friday. But you know what helps to cheer me up on Tuesdays? The Manhattan Beach farmers market. And one of my favorite stands? Grill Masters. This is plain good food. Nothing fancy. Just plain good... chicken. BRAWK! Yup, chicken.Grill Masters brings their truck in every Tuesday, and when they open up the side canopy of the truck you see a bunch of rotisseries. Skewering chickens. Lots and lots of chickens. Big, fat, juicy plumpers. Cooked to a perfect crisp on the outside, and juicy and flavorful inside. In the catch-pan beneath the rotisserie, there are diced potatoes and onions, that have great flavor because the juice drips from the chickens being roasted above down onto them taters. Delicious.Oh, and don't forget the garlic sauce. You will stink, but you will thank me for this reco. Garlic sauce, you complete me.And the prices are great. If you get a whole chicken with all the fixins, you're looking at roughly $15, and it will serve 2 people for 2 meals (and I eat a lot)... like I said, big fat chickens. And the guy who works there is super cool... he'll make recommendations on how to take it home and heat it up... it isn't as good when heated, but that's to be assumed. But it's still mighty tasty. All in all, I'm giving 4 stars. Very good food, very good prices, very friendly service. These guys are awesome.

I don't know what to say. It's soooooo gooooooodddd......I tried it for the first time a few moths ago at the farmers market in Echo park. A friend and I each got a whole chicken. We finished and went back for 2 more. SERIOUSLY. Another week I tried the potatoes. Deliciouso!!I really don't care for chicken on the bone. I don't know why, it just doesn't do it for me. I'd rather order chicken strips than fried chicken. That's me. So I wasn't all that hyped about trying it. They were just setting up the farmers market when we drove by on accident just catching a shortcut through traffic using the alley. The smell of this chicken stopped us dead in our tracks. No joke. We didn't know where it was coming from. We parked, walked and they were right there. The truck was just barely setting up so the guy asked us to come back in 10 minutes. So we bought some drinks, came back and waited. LOL. The smell alone was intoxicating. There was no way it was going to taste half as good as it smelled. Oh My Damn. Really the best chicken I've had in my life. And I went to a restaurant a few years ago where every plate was well over $100 and I tasted the chicken there when someone at my table ordered it. Doesn't compare to this $12 miracle of flavor. If you like chicken, you'll love this. If you don't like chicken, you'll love this. I sure did. Find one. Try it. Love it.

I'm sitting here at 6:21 on a Monday night trying to decide what to have for dinner. I am in Hollywood so I have tons and tons of options. But, I have to tell you that after tasting Grillmaster's succulent chicken NONE of the local options are as attractive. I started with a half chicken dinner with pita at the Hollywood farmer's market outpost. It was delicious. So the next week I had the half chicken with the roasted potatoes.LIFE CHANGING EVENT! Those potatoes with the chicken are incredible. Slow roasted chicken dripping it's juices over garlic potatoes with herbs... OMG!I now buy a whole chicken and 2 sides every Sunday. Considering that serves four I think the price really works out pretty well. I'm going to start stalking the truck. I need a re-up of the chicken mid week so you can find me wherever this truck is on a Thursday as well as in Hollywood on Sunday! If you see the truck don't hesitate!
