Gong Cha

So excited to have a gong cha in LB! We've been a few times now and it has quickly become our fav boba place. When my boyfriend and I say "we want boba", we mean we want to go to this Gong Cha. The service is always super friendly and nice. The interior itself is a little small, which of course isn't anyone's fault, but definitely a squeeze when it gets busy! I like the kiosks for ordering, as well as an option to go to the counter. I've gotten the earl grey milk tea and the marble matcha, and my boyfriend has gotten the Thai iced tea and the limited strawberry cheesecake milk tea. My favorite is the earl grey--it is so good, and I appreciate how customizable the drinks are. The marble matcha was good, a little powdery/gritty, but still way better than any matcha latte I've ever gotten from a coffee shop. My boyfriend has loved both of his drinks, and we're both so excited to keep coming back and try more. We also love all the cute merchandise/promos available!

I hadn't been in this area for a few years and was surprised find out that there was a Gong Cha here! But, it was a perfect place to grab a warm drink before heading into the Barnes and Nobles to browse and look for some books/gifts.Overall, not a bad experience. The shop is small. There is some space for people to hang out inside at smaller tables, but not a lot of room. It was decorated with plenty of cute little things that made me want to get more random stuff that I don't actually need (or have room for at my place). My friend and I ordered at the kiosk, but the description for each drink was somewhat lacking. I had to double check with the barista before finally deciding on what I wanted. I got a hot longan drink while my friend got some very hot tea. I ordered less sweet as I always do, but the drink was somewhat lacking in any flavor. The longan drink is usually lighter in flavor, but this was very light. My friend enjoyed her drink. Not a five star review since I think it would have been a lot more helpful for the kiosk to have more description as what I was originally interested in turned out not to be what I actually wanted. Having to flag down a worker and checking with them (they were pretty busy) to figure out what was in the drink defeats the purpose of having a self-ordering kiosk.

Always delicious!! My go toSpot for milk teas. Each time I visit my drink is perfect, i even had my BF try it ( he doesn't like milk teas) And he was liking the taste of it. My recent visit I decided to use their kiosk to place my order. The process was very easy and I will be ordering this way now.

Is this not the smallest Bobba tea spot you have ever been to? I love how they dress this place out though. When you walk in, if you know what you are going to order just go for the kiosk. They have a menu above the counter as well. A bit expensive(in my opinion) for size and quality of drink. I had the oolong and it wasn't what I thought it be. The Thai tea on the other hand was better. The pearls are the way to go if you don't like your typical Bobba size. Also a bit on the slow size of service. A good addition to the plaza nonetheless.

Visited Gong Cha on a Thursday afternoon and decided to pop-in for a pick-me-up. I ordered the Brown Sugar Earl Grey Milk Tea, which was priced at $6.70, and added in Pearl Boba for an additional $0.70. Ordering is entirely contactless which is typically my preference, however, I was surprised and a bit uncomfortable with the requirement to input personal information, including my phone number, just to make a purchase. Typically, customers can opt out of data collection when purchasing, but Gong Cha does not offer the customer this option. Following my purchase, they did text me twice asking me to complete a 10-question survey. To complete the survey, you're required to give them more personal info, including you email and first/last name. The Brown Sugar Earl Grey Milk Tea was delish. The sweetness was on-point the flavor profile was perfectly balanced. The tea had just the right amount of creaminess, making it smooth and satisfying without being too heavy. If you're a fan of milk tea, this one is definitely worth trying--you won't be disappointed.

Discovered this place while I was walking out of the movie theater I figured I already blew my diet on popcorn and candy lol so might as well give this place a whirl It looked really clean on the outside and inside. When I walked in I noticed all the kiosks. Which, a lot of people might like, but I'm sorry, I do not. So I bypassed these and went straight to the counter to order (so this could be a plus or a minus for some people) They had cute little keychains and etc for purchaseIt did take a minute for the girl working here to come out and greet me. But to be fair she probably was expecting me to use the kiosk. So I wasn't upset about itI'm not very adventurous and usually just get an iced coffee with boba but we decided on the brown sugar milk tea boba (which honestly kind of tastes like the coffee) The girl working here was really friendly and helpful. there was no line since I came at an odd hour and my drink came out fast and was reasonably priced. The ambiance is also really cute. They have a couple chairs to sit at. But overall it's not a very large place to hangout with friends and enjoy your drink. But again, I liked how clean the place was. (Plus the drink was pretty delicious) I'll definitely come back whenever I'm passing by or before / after the movies

Came here on a Sunday around 8pm no wait we ordered at the kiosk. Parking right in front. Phone number to text when order is ready however it wasn't accurate we still waited like 10 minutes after it said our order was ready. Service was ok no greeting and when we checked up on our order they didn't acknowledge us really.Ordered the and marble mango it was alright taste was artificial flavoring. The strawberry milk tea and plain milk teas was ok. The best was probably the mango smoothie. Boba was good. Overall, good for a one time try.

Came here today for the opening and it was busy! Good turn out and glad there's finally a Gong Cha in Long Beach area! My go to drink is the Pearl Milk Tea! Can never go wrong with half sweetness and half ice. Same with any of their coffee drinks.Today was busy, but the team members were all prepared. Friendly staff members and welcoming . The location is at the Marina Pacifica area so there will always be lots of parking spaces. Also the area has plenty of things to do and walk around. This Gong Cha location is small but it's perfect to go in and out. A must visit while you're in the area! ^_^

Oof I'm not sure what happened but when I visited Thursday night around 6PM, they were extremely slow! I waited 15+min for my drink & I had to flag the staff about my drink before I missed my movie time! I asked the customers that ordered before me and they were still waiting, even longer than I! Imagine how much longer I would've been if I didn't speak up.. I don't think this is the norm but I was pretty disappointed with the lack of communication and consideration.
