Goldenwest Diner

Was in the area and a buddy of mine wanted diner food so here we are. I've been wanting to try this spot out since Spire shut down and am glad I got to try this place.The fried chicken was recommended so my buddy got the chicken and waffles w scrambled eggs and I got the dinner fried chicken with baked potato. The fried chicken was amazing, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside! We preferred the dinner version as the waffles were not freshly made but frozen.Overall the service was incredibly friendly and helpful. Fried chicken was on par. Will def be back again next time we're in the area.

Recently came in to visit with my mother and husband and I must say we were all satisfied. The customer service here is top notch. You know it's great service when you hear the staff welcome regulars by their names. 5/5 for customer service, definitely attentive, & polite. The ambience has a welcoming , Cali vibe with various California theme posters on their walls. The food was for the most part delicious. I ordered the turkey dinner and overall it was pretty good, my only complaints would be the veggies since they came out soggy & the mashed potatoes were a little dry but overall it was good. My hubby had zero complaints on his breakfast & my mother usually never finishes her plate but she enjoyed her sandwich so much that she devoured it. Overall great customer service, good food, & chill vibe.

I was not expecting much, or anything out of this place but wow, their steak Benedict was incredible. The steak was so well cooked, I had to pause eating to text my sister about it. Large portions, as expected of a diner, but not always expected of Benedict's. Hash browns were only ok, but would get again because, hash browns.

Was at an event across the street and decided to give this place a try. Upon reaching the parking lot, we were greeted by a man and his little dog, just raving about this diner! We asked what his recommendations were and he couldn't say enough great things about this place. My party and I all ordered different items and we were all pleased. Tasty food, great portions, and fresh ingredients. The staff was very friendly and checked up on us often! They have a lot of old school memorabilia throughout the restaurant.

First of all, I LOVE THIS PLACE!I want to share this gem with you all.It has that old timey diner feel and the service has always been amazing and it was again today.The place is not fancy but it feels like home. A very relaxed vibe and that customer service that feels like family.FOOD:We both got the Ribeye Benedict. The Hollandaise today was a little thicker than before. Usually it comes out nice and creamy.The steak is well seasoned, slightly salty, and the eggs are poached nicely.I asked for the hash browns to be well done because I like them crispy and they delivered.We didnt get the pancakes today but they are also very well done!Overall I would give this place a 5/5.The Service was amazing, and there were just missed on the food that caught me off guard because it is usually 10/10.For a small Diner this place definitely knocks it out of the park.

Hey yelpers !! I have eaten here for many years. The food is always hot and fresh and well prepared. On any given day, you can come into the diner & Rosa, Javier, Lucy, Daisy , Rehilo & staff will make you feel welcomed.The service is always a 100% I have some hard nursing shifts & at the end of the Goldenwest Diner will offer a Hot delicious meal , and a warm ambiance. Keep up the great food and service !!

10 minute wait. There were plenty of tables to be seated and nobody acknowledged us when we got in. Finally, we were seated around the corner in a glass and rock room. They sat us in the corner. Mine and my husband's chairs were wonky. We had to switch our seats out. Thankfully they had random chairs lining the wall. The person who led us to our table did not ask us if we wanted any drinks to start. She just gave us menus and walked away. We waited and waited. I was going to get the Golden West breakfast, which came with various proteins, has browns and a biscuit with gravy. My husband was going to get their chili cheese burger and fries or their chili cheese omelet with home fries. BH it, nobody came back to our table.So, we ended up getting food from Bob's Restaurant on Beach and Westminster.

Food was very tasty. The place needs some TLC for sure. Staff were friendly and attentive. Overall I would go back.

So today at Goldenwest DinerI wanted a waffle and Eggs BenedictSharing my idea with Rosa, she made it happen. Javier said he will tell his boss to add it. Its Called Ralphies BenedictSecert menu. Whats up John, Dottie , David who sit at the counter the Breakfast club.

Within 30 minutes, I lost my breakfast and was ill all day. Might have been the greasy and what appeared to be old hash browns, or the shoe leather that served as bacon.I didn't eat more than 1/4 of the breakfast.Never again.
