Golden Palace Chinese Restaurant

I've been coming to Golden Palace for years. The restaurant is in a small strip mall with limited parking, however I've always been fortunate and have never had a problem. The restaurant deceivingly big! There are two main sitting rooms and even an additional room for large parties/banquets. The food is served family style during dinner, but you can get lunch plates during lunch. I can't speak to how authentic the food is, but it tastes delicious and is made fresh. I ordered pork chow fun and Kung Pao chicken and separated it for lunch for the next few days.My favorite are the Kung Pao Chicken and Chow Fun (any meat). While the Kung Pao is advertised as spicy, you can request the heat be turned up or down. Their menu is extensive, so I imagine there is something for everyone.While dining in the service has been pleasant. While the servers may come across as abrupt, they are never rude. It a cultural difference and I don't take offense.

We have been coming here for YEARS, the food is always great, made fresh whether you eat in or takeout, the restaurant is always clean reasonably priced great local spot

In a pinch, this restaurant will do. It looks clean, the service was fast and friendly. They messed up my phone order though, I ordered two lunch specials and broccoli in oyster sauce and they gave me 2 entrees and a lunch special. It was well over 60 with tip, so you're looking at high dollar Chinese food. I will say that everything was fresh, but not fine dining by any stretch of the imagination, but everything does taste made to order, so I'll give them that.Try Deli Wok in Norwalk instead, more bang for the buck.

I have been eating here over 20 years, that being said I am omitting one star because the prices keep going up and they arbitrarily serve you a fair portion of food while other times they cheat you by using smaller platters to give you a main dish. You never know until they serve you. About two years ago they suddenly stopped giving a small carton of steamed rice that automatically comes with the a la carte orders. This must be out of pure greed considering the fact it should still be included since you pay about an average of 18 dollars for the a la carte entrees. Somehow I still go because they have the best salted porkchops and chicken chow fun ever. The kung pao chicken can be modified to your taste. They will prepare it mild, medium, or hot as long as you let them know your preference and it is always good. The jalapeno chicken is also one you must try and the eggrolls are second to none!

Not on the menu but if you request they will make it. It's so good filled with so much flavor.

Have never dined in but have ordered takeout more than a few times.Orange chicken and beef broccoli are delicious. Great spot for takeout. I always call ahead to place order.

Food was delicious, as usual, the take out service was quick and efficient. When inn no picked up the food the restaurant looked clean.

Food was good and they give you large amounts. Service was fast, place was cozy. Servers friendly.

Food was great. You can tell that its made to order and portions are very friendly. The people that work there could have been a bit nicer but it is what it is.
