My first time here. I came because I heard they have chicken bingo so how do ya not try it out? $10 cover charge for the band gave me pause until the place started filling up. You definitely get a different demographic when there's a cover charge- zero rif raft. 100% people hanging out, dancing, drinking, eating free hot dogs, singing along with the band, laughing - just awesome. Ya buy raffle tickets for $1 each, get a ticket with a number. The band keeps playing amazing music and when the chicken drops a grumpy on a number, the number is announced and the person with that ticket gets a prize. Beat time ever! Bartender was awesome. Friendly, professional and on his game. Hot dogs were a great surprise and the place was so clean. Will definitely be back!

Lindsay and Darnell ran the show like a couple of real professionals !! New Year's Eve was very personable at my hometown bar and Lindsay made me feel right at how and it got twice as better when daddy D pulled up to help her close it down. Lindsay made an awesome menu. Will be back! 12/10

I don't know why people are saying how good the new bartender is ... they must be her friends that she asked to post a review... cause every time I have been there she's just constantly on her phone

Me and some friends originally stumbled across this gem back in 2017 while we were in town to attend a football game. This place is the true definition of "dive" bar. Since that wonderful night in 2017 , we talked about going back. Fast forward to March 2024, and with a few of our group relocating to other parts of the country, we knew we had to make the trip happen. So we took the drive north to San Pedro for no other reason than to spend the night so we could have the Godmother's experience one more time. Although it had changed a little (classed things up a bit if you will), the overall vibe was just that of which we remembered from 2017!! Whenever I hear anyone mention San Pedro, I will automatically think Godmother's!! Thank you Godmother's for two nights that we may not completely remember but will never forget!

Came in for a couple of drinks after our Sunday dinner across the street. They had live entertainment in the afternoon but we'd just missed it. Place is spacious for a dive with main bar and lounge areas, they even have a hotdog station at the end of the room. I suppose that's one way to sober up a little bit in case you had too much to drink. They had good selections of liquor especially whiskeys. I had a few Grey Goose dry martinis which were strong enough, hubby had Guinness on draft. Since they have TouchTunes so we played some of our favorite songs on it. Glad to see some couples were dancing to our songs and having fun. We are not familiar with San Pedro area but I really liked this local dive. Definitely a good find that we might just come here from time to time.

We had a great time listing to music, dancing and hanging out at this old time bar in San Pedro. Vince [from the old Blue Cafe in Long Beach] was managing that night, it was like old times. Godmothers is the real deal.

1st and 3rd Fridays are fabulous! Fun times with MCPZ and DJ Ynot ! Good music. Good drinks. Good times.

One of the worst experiences I've ever encountered in my life. Went to the bar to get a cocktail and the bartender von or Ben or Vinny or whatever his name is was so rude and unfriendly just made me feel so uncomfortable. Literally there was hardly anybody there, I would assume that you would be, nice to the people that are actually trying to spend money. I will never be back

Have been coming to the bar for a long time and I love the two new bartenders. Lindsay is great and I will continue to come back to try her new weekly drinks !!

San Pedro just come a major upgrade with the fresh faces behind the bar. Lindsay and Ryan are awesome. Will come to karaoke on Thursdays to see them!
