Been here twice now and love coming. The concept of the spot is great , I love the ambiance and can't beat being right on the beach. I also like that you order from your table and that they have a wide selection of food and drink. My only gripe this time was the Korean short ribs were not great, the flavor was sour and kind of over powered the whole dish. I enjoyed my breakfast the first visit so I'll definitely keep trying other dishes. Cocktails are good. Only other critique is that the prices are a bit expensive especially when you aren't being waited on.

It's a shame because I live about a 3 minute walk from here and love the atmosphere of this place and it's a cool little spot to have something to eat and drink, but I cannot get past the horrible, terrible, disrespectful and unprofessional service. This is my third time here and I keep giving it a chance, but it's not working out. A friend of mine came to visit me yesterday and he wanted to eat here because he thought it was a cool little spot. First of all, they have the annoying type of menus where you have to use technology to order which in my opinion is inefficient because you have people who don't care to use that kind of stuff and who don't know how so it's very confusing. I had some questions for the waiter about the menu, but it took about 15 minutes to flag someone down and when we finally did, we asked our question and the guy immediately had a terrible attitude stating "just to let you know our kitchen is backed up and your food's going to take a while." Ooookaaaayyyy. Anyway. We came specifically for happy hour, which happens Monday through Friday between 3 PM and 6 PM. They provided us with a happy hour menu so we ordered drinks directly from the happy hour menu along with the shrimp ceviche which was also on happy hour. I noticed that as I was punching it in on their app to order all the menu items were full price, but in my mind, I figured that it would automatically discount to happy hour prices, but it never did so I called the waiter over. To say that he was absolutely rude and unprofessional is an understatement. I could barely understand what he was saying, but from what I gathered, he said that the happy hour menu basically didn't exist when I was staring right at it. He gave a whole lecture about how some items are seasonal and how sometimes there's happy hour and sometimes there's not so if the menu Items went into the app full price then that's what they are, which made absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. Why give us a happy hour menu if it doesn't exist? He finally walked away after giving us several dirty looks and came back with a receipt showing that he took the drinks off. I guess that pretty much evened everything out, but I guess he thought I was stupid and wouldn't check my bank statement as it's still showing the original withdrawal from my account and not the discounted. But don't worry because I already called my bank and filed a claim. This is a really dope spot to chill and have some food and drinks, but unfortunately, that won't be happening anymore because the staff are incredibly disrespectful, unprofessional and foul and it doesn't seem like management cares at all.

I stopped at the Gaucho Cafe on my walk. I was hesitant because of some of the poor reviews, but there are 2 different businesses located here. The "Gaucho Beach" is different from the Gaucho cafe. It was a very cute cafe! The customer service was great. Plenty of seating and I got my order quickly! There are some sketchy people around, especially when it gets dark, but that is beyond their control. Just something worth mentioning, especially if you're coming alone or at night. I ordered a vanilla latte and it was a bit sweet for my liking, but I would love to try some of their other drinks. A great little spot if you need a pick me up and I would recommend for anyone in the area!

After my husband and I did a three mile walk we decided to stop by here to have something to eat and drink. The food was good, I felt like I was eating very nutritionally and healthy. Not a lot of salt if any to the fish. Like most places of late, there seems to be a shortage of waitresses( seems to be only one) Even with that our waitress was very nice and very efficient. The ambiance was cool beach side atmosphere. The drinks were really good. Was waiting for this place to open for while and now it's finally opened. If only they had more help for waitressing.

Been wanting to try this place! Finally, we came here with my friend and my son and his buddy, after church (yesterday). Beautiful weather! There was a Reggae music festival going on so it was loud but other than that, I bet it's pretty chill. We tried: - Honey Matcha Latte = yummy (my friend's son finished it fast!) - Poderosa (fruit smoothie, no dairy) = my friend let us try it and it was very refreshing! - Dulce de leche latte (iced w/ Oat milk) = Gave me energy to walk for 3-4 miles with the kids. - The smoothie with Açaí, blueberry and chia seeds (forgot the name but it came with coconut milk) = Not sure if we liked it....but at least we tried it. I'd like to try the empanadas and the baked goods next time. The restaurant had good music and vibes. Next time, we'll be back without the kids and grab some drinks and food.

I write this review as I'm sitting here, drinking a Spanish latte with the best views in Long Beach! The Gaucho Beach concept is seriously cool, they have a full bar & restaurant, a cafe, and a spot that sells Argentinian empanadas! There is something for everyone, and this looks like it would be a nice day & night spot! They have only have outdoor seating but it's shaded. I got:Spanish latte - 10/10 (they were out of the dulce de leche and my server recommended this, it was perfectly balanced!) Spinach and cheese empanadas 8/10 (pretty good, although the crust squished as soon as I got them, I would've liked them crispier, but the taste was really good, and the cheese was perfectly gooey!) Between the Chimichurris habanero and Classico, I preferred the habanero, the Classico needed a little kick. I would I definitely recommend this spot for remote working, date night or a night out with friends!

It's hit or miss with this place. The location and decor is great, but the slow rude service reviews on the café side is real, so don't second guess your interaction if doesn't feel right. This place is right behind where I've lived for a couple years and on the way to/from back from going for a morning run, so I'll naturally stop to get a cappuccino or something to enjoy on my way out to the beach. You can be the only person there and you'll be waiting like a ding-dong for a long while, then get an attitude if someone comes to the window. It's really strange. I've caught them over charging a couple times as well and they have to give me a refund in cash. Sad, bcs this is the only place to get a coffee once you're that far out near the beach. I typically only go here if I forget to get something from Qargo across the street, who I always have a good morning chat with and leave a nice tip. Hopefully some more mom-and-pop shops will open on the beach side who don't play games with people's coffee - which is a cardinal sin where I'm from, causing drama with hard working folks in the little bit of peaceful moments in the morning. Have some self-respect and pride in your work, people. Good empanadas though.
