Grabbed breakfast here. The morning after a work holiday party in one of the banquet rooms. After spending the night in one the rooms as not drink and drive. TMI I guess Anyway, it's why I ended up here one Saturday late morning. Restaurant was pretty slow so service was good. At one point, there were more staff than customers but by then, our table was just chit chatting and finishing up our drinks Grabbed me a steak and eggs breakfast and dessert of course. See pics. Eggs were done as requested but my steak was medium. Any more and I would have sent it back. I always as for rare or medium rare. Anyway, breakfast hit the spot. Dessert too Nice place, but probably doesn't get a lot of locals business - probably just the hotel guests which I'm not regularly. So, not sure if I'll be back but I would if I wanted a chill, nice and quiet spot and was in the area

I have been to this restaurant for several Thanksgiving Day brunches.Pros The taco bar was good. The waffle bar was busy and looked good. The eggnog, and the pumpkin cheesecake dessert was delicious. The beef dish was good. The dessert and cheese bar were a good size. They had a huge crab bar but I don't eat crab. The big plus is the bottomless mimosas. ConsThe pasta bar, eggs Benedict, and stuffing were a little bland with flavors. The pecan bars had a little bit of a refrigeration taste. The turkey and ham were dry for my liking. The salad bar was minimal at best. Cost The cost was over $80 which seem high. I could justify the price if the food had more zing and flavor.

I can't believe I'm the first review for this place!Ok, first off the inside waterfall is neat because it's very relaxing! We ordered off the menu because we don't like Buffett's! After watching what came out of the Buffett I made the wrong decision, lol! This was a very large Buffett with plenty of fresh looking options! The menu food was also good and our service was top notch even on a busy 4th of July day! I would eat here again.....sad, but it might be the cleanest place I have found so far in long beach!

We bought a Groupon good for two Sunday brunches with unlimited champagne. We got there right when it opened and we waited in line about ten minutes before they even started letting people in. We went up to the hostess and she informed us they were only letting people with reservations in first and she asked us to stand to the side behind another couple. Instead of making an announcement telling everyone without a reservation to stand to the side, she proceeded to tell each group that walked up they needed a reservation. This was making the process much longer so my husband made an announcement telling everyone who didn't have a reservation to stand behind us. The whole process was very disorganized. Once we got seated, the view was great and our server was very attentive. The food was just average.

I took my mom here for brunch a couple weeks back. We had a Groupon deal, so it was more than affordable. I usually really like the omelet station, but I was fairly disappointed in my egg. It wasn't cooked right and the ingredients were bland. Much of the cooked food was also only alright.I did like cooked chicken breasts in the cream sauce, and the prime rib was also tasty. I mostly ate these two things. The mashed potatoes were also really good. We tried all the desserts and the strawberries stood out the most. They were huge, fresh, and sweet. I ate many of these. There was no wait when we arrived (although I saw a very long line shortly after) and service was attentive. We weren't rushed at all, even though we sat for over two hours. We were even told when the buffet was closing down, in case we wanted to go back and get some food before it was all packed away and carried out. I thought that was a really nice touch.

Review is for Sunday brunch. I give this place 2 star, one for unlimited champagne/mimosa and one for their outdoor seating. The view of the pool and waterfall was nice but the staffs were not attentive. I had to flag them down a few times to have my glass filled. The food was terrible and forgettable which was disappointing.

Five stars for the food, taking one away for the service. But this place is a hidden gem of ambiance and relaxation. If the loud noise of occasional jet engines freaks you out, don't worry, it's very infrequent but I love it and remiss when I only hear it once during a 2 hour meal. The food is top notch quality. It doesn't matter what you order, this place is about hospitality and their food is tested and re-tested for audience approval. When I need predicable food in a quiet setting where I'm not rushed, this is place I come to chill out. Because it's a hotel as well, I don't feel weird going here alone or on weekdays. They aren't snooty nor do they get offended if you return an item. Their business is hospitality and they don't want to risk giving the rest of the Marriott a bad name so they tend to bend over backwards with special requests. Which, I of course, enjoy. I think this stands true with any hotel chain. I believe there is also wi-fi but not sure if it extends into this area.

We went for Mother's Day and the service was so awful, we didn't even get to brunch. Granted, it rained that Sunday, so no one wanted to sit outside. Because they seemed to have reservations up the ying-yang, they were behind TWO hours of seating. C'mon mangement! If I was in charge, I would have opened up a conference room, set some tables up, and handled the business. The back-up was horrendous and the maitre'd was not forgiving.

On arrival, I was asked to pre-pay for our buffet, before being escorted to our table. The hostess hit me with an 18% tip, which did not seem optional. Since I hadn't even experienced the service or food, this seemed unfair. The beef was tough, as were the crab legs. (The crab legs were pre-split, and were likely frozen that way. I don't know why they were cut, as that pretty much ruins them.) I suppose there were some other choices, that I did not try, that might have been better. On a more positive note, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The included mimosas and champagne were always refilled, and finished plates were picked up promptly. The omelets were good, as were the crepes. The hostess asked how I enjoyed the meal, and she stated she would inform the manager of my disappointments. Following that, he did not visit out table. Some of our friends recommended this place to us. I guess they like it, so you might as well. I don't plan to revisit this establishment.
