I really wanted to *LOVE* my ice cream, expecting myself to get the taffy like ice cream that everyone has mentioned and I saw videos of. Service was fantastic and I ended up getting my servers favorite, blackberry. It was less taffy like but LOADED with blackberries. Flavor was on point. My husband got cookies and cream. When we were a block away, I already regretted not getting a double scoop to have a taffier ice cream We ended up also getting a baklava (his fav) and trying a pomegranate coconut Turkish delight (the top seller). These were accidentally forgot about until the next day. Baklava was "ok" according to him. The Turkish delight however was DELICIOUS. Perfect texture and flavor. The one piece sliced into five slices was more than enough for the two of us. I'd come back just for that and ice cream next week.

Great ice cream. Thick texture and the base is not overly sweet. I ordered Almond and it was loaded with chopped almonds. I was expecting the base to be sweeter and have more flavor, but I still enoyed it. Definitely different than typical ice cream!Lots of flavors to select from. My husband has both Almond and Raspberry. He loved the raspberry!Service was very friendly and offered our friends samples. The store is has nice and colorful decor, very inviting. There is a case of delectable desserts! Next trip! They are definitely calling me back!

The ambiance is casual, chill, and at some points in time, a dance party! They played music from their country and it was banging! It is a small place and very small room to sit. 3 tables with 3 chairs each. When we got there, a lot of people were ahead of us and that place was cramped. They don't have a parking lot of their own so street parking is the way to go. We parked in the Bank of America parking lot (this was after the bank closed) but we paid to park there. The Bank of America is right across the street from them. So easy access. They sold Turkish Delights, baklava, and Dubai chocolate bars on one side and ice cream on the other side. The ice cream part does play with the customers who chooses to get a cone vs a cup.The service was great and they were all super friendly. They seemed really surprised when we ordered hot drinks. Their hot chocolate was the best one I've ever had in my life! It wasn't your normal Swiss miss type of hit cocoa. They warned us a lot about how hot it was and for us to be careful when drinking it. We let it sit for quite some time before we drank it. It was extremely hot to the touch. So don't let children hold this cup, it will burn them! My friend ordered their Turkish coffee and he said it was delicious. It was given to him in a small cup. I'll attach photos of comparisons. Their ice cream is different than BR, and all the other ice cream stores. It was smooth and didn't melt as quickly as normal ones do.They do have a small restroom inside the kitchen, but I'd ask before going back there. This place was wonderful and I would come back!

It is a very aesthetic location. They entertain by tricking you when handing the ice cream to you. Friendly staff. Good place to take kids or yourself for some ice cream.

It was crazy busy when I went. I just wanted to try Turkish ice cream finally and unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. Didn't taste like much and it looks like they went all out of the decorations. The other desserts weren't that good according to my friend, so this one might be a pass? Just too chaotic and crazy to enjoy anything

Came by to get some ice-cream after dinner. I did not realize that they are serving Turkish ice-cream. I have seen a lot of video on how Turkish ice-cream's ice-cream trick. I was hoping that I can see it this time. We ordered a strawberry flavored ice-cream. It was served in a cup, so we did not get to see the ice-cream trick. The strawberry ice-cream has a very unique texture. It is very chewy, and it feels like "mochi ice-cream." It was very fruity, and not overly sweet. I will come back again to try out different flavor, and I hope that I can see a live ice-cream trick.

There are quite a few dessert places and restaurants on 2nd, but for those new to Long Beach I would recommend trying the Turkish delight at Galata. We ordered under 1 pound of Turkish delights (original rose, tiramisu, and pistachio) which came out to around $16. The original flavor was my favorite and reminds me of the way that the Rose Jam shower gel at Lush smells - a hint of citrus with very sweet rose petal nuances. Those who don't like floral flavors should try something that is nut-based or more gourmand, like the pistachio or tiramisu (these will inherently be very textured and more crunchy than the original). There are upwards of 15 flavors, so don't be afraid to ask the staff for their recommendations or personal favorites.
