We absolutely love this neighborhood gem! It's a charming Spanish tapas restaurant with an intimate, romantic vibe that makes every visit feel special. My husband and I always enjoy the seafood paella (which is a very generous serving), the Gambas Al Ajillo, Calamari, Land & Sea Toastand the perfectly crispy Potato Croquettes. The service is consistently warm, friendly, and attentive, making us feel right at home every time.I recently came by for brunch with a friend and had the steak and eggs - it was delicious and beautifully prepared. Whether it's a date night or a casual brunch, this spot never disappoints!

Had a wonderful time here on a girls night, highly recommend the calamari - one of the best i've ever had, super flavorful and crispyalso loved the pork belly, paella, and shishito peppers. would skip the board for something else but i'd definitely come back to try more! 2-3 people splitting everything is the best move to try a mixture of everything everything came out fast and the service was great, the inside is small but cosy, with intimate lighting. there's a huge list of gin for any gin fans out there as well

Best dinner ever, we can't wait to go back. We went a couple of weeks ago for Valentines dinner. The ambiance was romantic and inviting and there were so many delightful menu options; I can't wait to try more of them. Our waitress was kind and attentive and sat us immediately. Our table wasn't ready upstairs but they opened one downstairs for us. The calamari was so flavorful and crispy to start our meal. My entree of steak filet was cooked perfectly medium rare as I ordered, and was so tender, I could cut it with my butter knife. It was served with a delicious cracked pepper cream sauce & arugula salad. We shared a side of brussel sprouts, which were roasted to perfection. Full bar as well, my wife ordered a cucumber martini and it was presented so beautifully with a rolled slice cucumber resembling a rose. Couldn't have been any better, I am counting the days until we have another special occasion to go back. I am excited because they also have outdoor seating and the weather is getting so nice.

I'm pretty sure I've reviewed Gabi before but Yelp asked me to review it so...Gabi James in Riviera Village is my absolute go-to for Sunday brunch with the girls! The vibrant atmosphere and delicious menu never disappoint. One interesting fact about Gabi James is their unique blend of Spanish and French cuisine, creating a delightful fusion of flavors. The staff is always welcoming (Joe is so awesome at the bar) and the patio seating offers a perfect spot to soak in the beachside vibes. Highly recommend for a chic and tasty brunch experience!

Gabi James is a Spanish tapas restaurant in Redondo Beach. The restaurant has a romantic feel with the low light and intimate ambiance. Spanish tapas are meant to be shared plates so you can try multiple items on the menu with your party. My favorites of the items we got are the harissa honey eggplant fries and the seafood paella. I am normally not a fan of eggplant but I've never had it prepared as fries before and Gabi James may have changed my mind on the vegetable I personally didn't like the sauce it came with since I'm not a vinegar fan, so I ordered a different sauce on the menu. Be aware that additional sauces come with an extra charge! What we ate:Harissa Honey Eggplant Fries - panko crusted with sherry vinegar aioliGambas Al Ajillo - shrimp, garlic butter, lemon, olive oil, grilled breadSeafood Paella - shrimp, calamari, mussels, clams & chorizo with spanish seasoned rice & squid ink aioliState Fair Churros - hot chocolate sauce, cinnamon sugarInstagram: @jessgoeat

Fun cafe about a stones throw away from the beach in the downtown area of Redondo Beach. Came in on a Sunday afternoon, so we ordered from the brunch menu. The menu leans French/ Spanish. There are a lot of fun cocktails and if you have the funds, a really good selection of some rare spirits. We had a reservation for a group of four so we came in and were promptly seated. We ordered the tortilla espanola (Spanish egg and potato omelette) for the table. This was really good and was a nice light bite. I'm a fan of potatoes and eggs, so right up my alley. I split from French toast and the oxtail hash. Good combination of the sweet and the savory. Best of both worlds! The dishes were done well and I thought it all tasted great. Overall just a great place to grab brunch on a Sunday and to meet up with friends, etc. You really can't complain about the location.

I've been here a number of times but never got around to writing about it. It's a good neighborhood restaurant for dinner or weekend brunch. The food has both Spanish and French influences. The ambience is casual and quintessential of South Bay. The times I've dined here have always been fun and the meals always pleasant. The service is consistent and the waitstaff always attentive. They have a good variety of food and drinks, nothing stellar but all decent options. When I've been here for dinner, it's usually tapa style with plates to share. Most recently dined here for weekend brunch and had the oxtail hash and the french toast - a little savory and a little sweet. Both were very filling. As is typical of the area, it's mostly street parking or scattered parking lots here and there. So it can be hit or miss depending on the time and day. But it's always a nice area for a walk so I usually don't mind parking a little farther out, especially being so close to the esplanade.

We visited Gabi James on Valentine's Day as they had early reservations available last minute, and I was very thankful for that! We brought our three month old daughter, and everyone was very kind to us. We got seated in a nice big booth to accommodate the car seat. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Valentine's Day, and the servers were all dressed in Valentines outfits. I loved it. ! We ordered the paella and the croquettes and the lamb. Each were absolutely delicious, and I highly suggest them. The lamb was grilled to perfection, even the fat was absolutely divine. The harissa sauce with the croquettes was spicy and lovely, and the paella was so good! My favorite part was the specials they had for Valentine's Day, both my drink and our dessert were a special for the day and they were very well crafted and very tasty and it made the experience more exciting. We will return!

Friendly staff, quick service. Went for the paella and ended up liking the octopus more. Wish they had another option for the paella. Then I would give it a five star. Parking is prime so must give yourself extra time to get to your reservation
