If you look at this place you would not think it was anything special... the inside feels that way too... and the neighborhood lends itself to Northgate market right next door... that's what I was thinking when I walked in... empty and only the lady behind the counter... but I wanted a bento box lunch not Carl's Jr. next door... I cautiously sat down hoping that it would be passable... hoping for a 3 star meal, even the yelp rating was 4.5 stars... only 176 reviews though.... but to my surprise it didn't come out in a Styrofoam container like most places do now... but a real bento box like in the picture! With miso soup... and California rolls that were fresh filled with "crab" meat... the beef teriyaki looked amazing... fresh and homemade looking... same with the salad and tempura! Not only that but the tempura was hot a cooked fresh... included was shrimp, 3 sweet potatoes, an onion ring, 2 string beans and a broccoli! I was shocked how amazing this place was and how good the food tasted... it reminded me when we would go to Japan and eat at any hole in the wall place and found it very very good... and the rice was plump and tender too... it was not you dried out hard rice you get at most places that look like this place... oh... even the ginger was not the red kind but the real ginger color kind... I found out the lady at the counter was also the owner and cook... no wonder! This was a hidden gem... I told my wife about it so when we go to Knott's or Disneyland we plan to eat lunch here... Anyways, if you're in the area of Knott and Lincoln and you see a Carl's Jr., go in the parking lot and it will be hidden in the upper corner...

Talk about a find ... I do art conventions and sell my artwork and me and a friend and we wanted sushi so we gave this little hole in the wall a chance. G Sushi did not disappoint at all!!! 1- The restaurant was really simple and had some fun artwork and a fun cultural feel to It. they have several tables and the menu is displayed on the wall and they have menus you can hold. This is also one of those places you order up front and they bring the sushi where you sit. The food came out at a good time and I was very happy with the rolls. 2- The service was great even though they only interact with you in front and when they bring you your food. I did appreciate them answering questions about the sushi and they did check on us to make sure we were good. 3-The sushi was delicious and the orange chicken we got was also really good. To be honest the cucumber roll was super delicious and refreshing. I also got a crunch roll and, Salmon sashimi. The seafood was really fresh and melted in my mouth. It honestly hit the spot and I will definitely be going back.If you find yourself in the mood for late-night sushi and many options I would add G Sushi to your list of spots. They also have to pick up and I saw several people going in doing pick up so that is always an option.

Nice little sushi spot we found close to out new place in Buena park. Really small shop I wasn't sure about , but the reviews on this place definitely match up. We had this place as an appetizer for dinner so we only got 3 rolls between my husband and I. and we killed them fairly quickly. Everything was super fresh and well insize. I cant rember the specific rools we ordered but my husband wanted me to order more and I had to remind him we already had dinner reservations and this would hold him over till then! Definitely coming back over and over again.

I order Snow White roll from Grubhub. The price on grubhun is $15.95. The portion is petite. Thin layer of rice and thin layer of fish. It is hard to feel the taste. It's not as a normal roll size. I was not satisfied.
