Friendly, low-key neighborhood bakery that proves that baking is truly an act of love. The warm breads act as a conduit which transfers the love from the baker to the customer, one fluffy bite at a time.The sweet empanadas were fragrant but not too sweet, which is a good thing. Each bread was toasted to perfection, and the store was organized so it's easy for the customers to select the bread buffet-style.I am glad that it's a little bit out of the way for me. Otherwise, I would end up eating too much of the bread and suffer the health repercussion of my indulgence.Street parking was difficult to find. Fortunately the street wasn't too busy.

A must try! I stumbled upon this bakery because it was close to home. I tried the pumpkin empanada made out of wheat and the corn pudding and I haven't changed my order since , just added to it. This is a little mom and pops place that makes fresh, delicious, daily bread. The nice owner had me try a French rolled with with cream cheese and jalapeños, was still warm. I was in heaven. The jalapeño cream cheese bread is a meal in itself. Long Beach is lucky to have this bakery.Plus, they make food too such as tacos, burritos and other Mexican food. I have to be honest , I have not tried the food but if their skills are comparable to their baking, I will be definitely be trying soon.

Get the (Empanadas). And also the (Jalapeño & Cream Cheese Bread). Now I know what a good bakery should be, because I didn't know I was eating subpar baked goods until I tasted theirs.
