I've been there twice but there will not be a third time..I had the Sweet and Sour Chicken lunch and the sauce was bland as though it came out of a bottle and the "chicken" was poor quality meat. The lunch came with one egg roll which was fine, the small salad was lettuce and carrots with very little dressing in it. The food reminded me of either hospital food or retirement home food. Aside from the food, the service was lacking, rushed and not friendly.

Service was quick and friendly.I ordered take out- shirmp walnut, lomein, and mongolian beef. The only thing ok was the shrimp walnut. The mongolian was watery and so was the lomein. They tasted the same like they were cooked together. I was looking for something different than pick up sticks but this wasn't it. Will not come back.

They offer healthy Chinese food that tastes really yummy.I heard a story where the owner was diabetic, and wanted to create a Chinese restaurant that was healthy (and tasty). There is a calorie counter of each item in their menu, and their menu is extensive. My husband and I came here for lunch today. Their lunch menu consists of choice of rice (brown, white, fried), soup, egg roll and main dish. I always get their crispy orange chicken, it is SO good! They also use good oil, so you don't feel greasy after your meal.Fortune Cookies relocated to the Rossmoor Center in Seal Beach, and I absolutely love their new model! Very clean, and great interior. Despite my very negative previous review, my mom loves Fortune Cookie so we are still customers. We are cautious and double check when ordering food without garlic. I have mixed feelings about calories listed in the menu. Today was the first time we've eaten there post pandemic. They have good lunch specials for on average $12. Comes with - -choice of hot & sour or egg flower soup-vegetable egg roll-brown or white rice -saladBrown rice is not extra. The egg flower soup is still good but slightly sweet, as is the salad dressing. We asked for tea but wasn't told it's $4 extra. Now I know it's floral which I don't like. Service is quick even when it's mostly full for Saturday late lunch. The interior is nice and some tables have space extenders. Bathrooms are clean but signs say not to flush paper products INCLUDING TOILET paper. I'm sorry but that's unsanitary. Sounds like someone needs updated plumbing. Have to deduct a star for this and the unspoken added tea charge.

I ordered a lunch plate last week and I got szechuan beef... I wanted something on the hotter side with food flavor.. was going to order Mongolian beef but szechuan beef was my pick, then went to Turners Outdoors to look around to wait.. then came back in and got my order to go home.. when I got home the szechuan beef looked like it was made by someone who didnt know how to cook chinese food!!!! The veggies were cut paper thin like confetti and the sauce was a little brown with NO Flavor.. had plenty of whole Peppers which I thought was going to be hot but it was not hot at all.. in fact the peppers were not cooked with the food.. just thrown in there.. I do have to say the Beef was Top Notch.. taste like good rib beef but no flavor beyond beef... the fried rice was OK.. dry but edible at least it could pass for chinese fried rice but the szechuan was cooked by Forest Gump..( my Szechuan beef was like a box of chocolate.. - you dont know what you're going to get ) I usually go to that hole in the wall on Adams, at least I know who is cooking the food and it's consistent.

It was quite a wait to get seated. Place was very busy on Monday at noon. So I guess that is good. I was surprised how small this very popular Chinese restaurant is. The food was good not very spicy which I like the service is remarkably good. The War Won Ton Soup was hot & delicious & even better the next day after I took it home well wrapped by the server.
