Florentino Ice Cream

This place bills its ice cream as "very special supersupreme ice cream," and from the sample I tried today at the food show, I would say that's a pretty accurate description. I would never never think sour cream ice cream could taste so delicious, but they way they make it, it does!! No wonder they wonder 18 gold medals at the LA County Fair. (See website).They mostly sell to hotels and restaurants, but if you call ahead, you can find out what flavors they have available and buy at the office in Cypress.

Such delicious ice cream/gelato! My kids would walk there from St. Irenaeus in Cypress with Mrs. Hansen for a field trip - that was over 20 years ago! The ice cream was amazing then - and still is. They sell predominately to businesses but we phoned ahead and we were able to purchase a nice selection of 1/2 pints. The young man who assisted was so courteous and helpful! This is the best ice cream/gelato that we have ever had.
