I was in the mood for chicken tikka masala and when I searched Yelp this place came up. I thought I'd give it a try. There was no tikka masala so I asked if they had any and the woman at the counter said the butter chicken was the same. They most definitely are not the same but I was embarrassed and just figured I would order that. The butter chicken was sweet to the point of being inedible. Also, only four small pieces of chicken. Contrary to what the management said in a response to another review that they ladle 2 spoons of chicken, it was barely one and mostly sauce. The naan was premade & wrapped so it was soggy and had no taste of garlicky goodness that you would expect of garlic naan. The veggie samosa was ok. It was also premade and packaged. It came with the two chutneys that are served with samosas. The place was clean and not busy at all. And the woman at the counter was friendly. The vegetable samosas.

We discovered Flamin Curry back in December and have been going at least twice a month ever since. It's always a hit and satisfying. Everything we tried has been delicious, but the chicken tikka Is a must have. The portions are generous and you can easily split into two meals. The meal comes with naan, but you have to get the garlic naan since it's only $.50 extra and why not get a two item combo since it's only a dollar more? You can't beat the price! I used to drive to Artesia for Indian food and now I don't have to.

For whatever reason, for the past six years I can remember, there hasn't been one Indian spot in Cal Heights/Bixby Knolls. No idea why. When I heard Flaming Curry was opening a spot here, I was stoked. I've been to their OG location and hated it because of its location. The food was fine, but good luck parking. This location has an actual parking lot and the food is great. For a fast casual Indian spot, this place always hits the spot. Very friendly service and they hit you up with a good amount of food. Personally, I think the way their do their chicken tikka masala is amazing. Hands down my favorite option. I always try another entree with it but I may just stick with that dish alone as no other dish they make compares to the flavor from their tikka masala. It's not the other dishes are bad...it's just that their chicken tikka masala is that tasty.

First time trying Flamin' Curry it was such a treat. I got the Veggie Pakora and rice with lentils and chickpeas oh and some naan. The owner helped me with some of my choices and told me that there were plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Everyone was polite.

Came here during dinner on a weeknight and it was busy! The takeout line was long but the service was lightning fast. This is the type of place where you point at ready-made entrees and they put it in take out plates, like Panda Express, although you can also be seated and served at dine-in tables. They offer samples before you order and the people at the counter are super friendly and willing to answer questions, even though they're busy. What I ordered:* 2 item combo ($14.00)- I chose Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Curry, which came with rice and naan. Both of the chicken dishes were flavorful and the chicken was juicy and swimming in sauce, which I happily dipped my naan in. Since we took it to go, the naan was wrapped in foil and a little soggy, so I just popped it in the air fryer for a few minutes, and voila, it was good as new.* Chicken samosas- a little bland/dry for my taste. Would be interested in trying them fresh instead of sitting under the heating areas* Mango lassi ($6.00)- This was goooood! Not too sweet, just enough yogurt tang to make it addictive If you have time to sit down and dine-in there, I think the quality of the naan would be much better. But I love the convenience of taking it to-go and enjoying it at home, which is what my boyfriend and I did during our date night. I would definitely be interested in trying more items from here! Good bang for your buck.

I've been going to their original spot on Broadway and was excited this location opened in Bixby Knolls as it's easier to find parking in this area. Inside, the restaurant was very clean with plenty of tables and the food looked fresh. The workers here are super nice the times I've came. I usually order the chicken tikka masala bowl with a garlic naan on the side. It tastes just as good as their OG location and they gave me a lot of chicken! Overall, this is a great place to go to if you want fast, already made Indian food.

An Indian place on this side of Long Beach! Good to have one that's local. One of the places closest to Wrigley that had been there for decades unfortunately closed down in the past few years. Note this is actually the second location of Flamin' Curry in LBC, the first of which is highly-reviewed in downtown Long Beach.Inside, you can order off the entire menu although it make take a little time to make if it's not part of what's already made in the warming trays. If you're getting stuff that's already made, the food is put together pretty fast (whichis why it's referred to as Express Indian Food in the logo). The staff was friendly and welcoming and helped give us recommendations. Keep in mind parking might be tight if the plaza is really busy. Prices are pretty reasonable for the amount of food you get.Protip because butter chicken is a crowd favorite: You might not see it on the menu when you look online at the Yelp photos but they may have it in the warming trays which are labeled when you walk in. They definitely fill the to-go containers all the way up to the brim! The butter chicken had a comforting rich flavor and there were lots of big pieces of juicy chicken breast in it. We also tried the Malai Kofta and Palak Paneer which were pretty good, although I feel like there could've been more pieces of cheese in the Palak Paneer. We tried the Garlic Naan and Cheese Naan both of which were pretty tasty, but it seems the Garlic Naan was pre-made. The cheese naan had more of the solid cheese in it rather than it being creamy like other places do, which I personally prefer. I do wish the Garlic Naan tasted fresher and less pre-made; the samosas were also a bit lukewarm/wet as they are premade as well and seemed to just be stored in a to-go container. They also have an extensive drink selection. I got the Mango Lassi (which is premade in the drink refrigerator) and it was nice and refreshing! Just be prepared to share as it's quite a large cup. They also have the Indian Thums Up cola in a can. Definitely will be back to try some others like the Rose Milk. If you like Indian food this definitely should be a place in your rotation if you live nearby.
