Finally got to try more dishes and it was a top-notch experience. The fresh pesto and salad, punchy but light margherita, and light and crispy dessert. Hot chocolate was like a slightly more liquid molten lava cake filling - rich and flavorful.I cannot thank the other reviews enough for the lasagna bolognaise rec. Out of all the entrees I've had in my life, this was the best I've ever experienced. The depth of flavor and textures from the cheeses, bechamel and perfectly tender beef. My brain erupted dopamine every bite. Days later and my mood is still elevated. Tip: Must eat it fresh. To return the favor to anyone reading this: Best appetizer I've had is the nori taco at Quince in Vietnam. While you're there, go to Pizza 4Ps and feast on their amazing Japanese/Italian fusion - must try the molten lava cake and home made mascarpone tiramisu for dessert. Worth the flight. Feel free to dm me and thank me anytime. Service-wise, as usual this place is as good as it gets.

The reviews are absolutely true. What an incredible little pasta shop! My favorite part is either the surprise driving into a little strip mall... or it's the 2 owners dynamics behind the counter (they're married)I ordered the ceasar salad, lasagna bolognese, and the pappardelle bolognese. The ceasar was big enough to share with 2-3 people as a starter. It was perfectly dressed. No notes. The lasagna was hands down the best bite... and quite honestly the best pasta I've ever tried in my life. The top layer was impeccably crunchy and there was a perfect ratio of sauce to cheese to pasta. GET THIS DISH. The pappardelle came perfectly al dente ... but if I'm being honest the lasagna was the true star. I was warned it was going to take about 30 minutes until food was ready as everything is prepared fresh. There is limited seating (2 small tables and 3 bar stools) so I recommend coming early if you want to dine in. The wife-owner took my order behind the counter. She immediately introduced her husband, who was the chef. It was such a charming duo - they would yell behind the counter to check in and see how everything was tasting. It was so fun and endearing. Before leaving the wife rushed out to hand us a small cup of house made hot chocolate. It was divine. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend trying Fatto a Mano!!

This place is quite a lovely experience. It wasn't just the food, it was the conversation and hospitality. It's one of those things you have to experience to keep those memories in your heart. Thank you for sharing your passion and love to the community. We feel lucky to have found this place and get a table immediately. We chose a day we'd be free from scheduling so we could wait 30 minutes for our food to be prepared.See you again soon! S & J

Fatto a Mano catered my sister's wedding dinner, and I can confidently say they absolutely delivered. Every dish was a masterpiece, the kind of pasta that instantly transports you to a little trattoria in Italy.Chef Marco and Arlene Pacelli, the husband-and-wife duo behind Fatto a Mano, are not just making pasta--they're sharing their passion and love for Italian cuisine with every plate. You can taste the dedication in every bite, from the richness of their handmade sauces to the perfect texture of their pasta. They don't just cook food; they craft an experience. The Lasagna Bolognese was out of this world--layered with the most flavorful, slow-cooked meat sauce and just the right amount of creamy béchamel. And their pesto sauce? Put it on anything, and it instantly elevates the dish. It was fresh, aromatic, and packed with vibrant basil and nutty Parmesan flavors. Not only was the food phenomenal, but the service was top-notch. The team was professional, punctual, and truly passionate about what they do. They are just great people! If you're looking for authentic, fresh, and utterly delicious Italian food--whether for catering or a casual meal--Fatto a Mano is an absolute must.

Had the opportunity to try "Fatto a Mano" for lunch, a small pasta shop Redondo Beach Ca. Both chef Marco and Arlene Pacelli are both passionate about their food, and highly express; through service and commitment for excellence. "Fatto a Mano delivers an authentic Italian pasta experience under the passionate guidance of Chef Marco, whose dedication to customer satisfaction is evident in every dish. During a visit with six fellow food enthusiasts, we sampled their diverse menu of handcrafted pasta and Roman-style pizza, with each dish perfectly executed (al dente). While the hour-long wait for all dishes reflects their made-to-order commitment, the results justify the patience. While every dish impressed, pasta is undoubtedly the star attraction at Fatto a Mano.

This pasta is some of the best I have ever had, and on par with extremely high end Italian restaurants I have been to elsewhere in LA and the west coast. Pasta is made fresh to order but the staff lets you know approximate times so there's no surprises--we knew it would be 30-40 minutes after we ordered. We were the 3rd and 4th person (second party) to arrive at this establishment as they opened at 11:30 on a Saturday. They are located about a mile from the beach and the weather was beautiful, in a cute eclectic strip mall with a barber shop, laundromat, and burger joint. You might not expect such incredible pasta but we were blown away by the quality. The noodles were thick but tender, each bite revealed more of the subtle but incredible flavors. The raviolis were delicate and we paired it with the venison sauce which was unbelievable, every bite was so packed with flavor without being overwhelmingly heavy or intense. In the end it was plenty of food--if I were truly ravenous I could have added a pizza on to this order but it was enough for two (not small at all) men to enjoy for a delightful lunch. Finally, we enjoyed two cute cups each--one with hot chocolate unlike any other I have had, and finally a small cup of coffee. We chatted a bit with the woman who greeted us and a man came from the back to ask sincerely how we enjoyed the pasta. I haven't experienced such a personal touch from a place like this, and she remembered our names and I have no doubt would recognize us if we came back, which we intend to! If you have the time to wait for some incredible pasta and want a personal touch, Fatto a Mano is just right for you!

A quaint Mom and Pop shop in a strip mall in Redondo Beach that gives you a taste of Italian hospitality without the jet lag. This place is a tiny 3 table restaurant. The tables seat two comfortably. This is not a place you can come with a group but it looks like you could get take out. When you come in, we were immediately greeted by the owners. One was the hostess and the other the chef. It feels like you were invited over to your friend's house. You know, your friends who know how to entertain and cook. They asked you your names and used them throughout the meal to ask how everything was. They explained the menu thoroughly. My brother and I split a Caesar salad, ordered a slice of their Roman style of pizza (the Romagnola) and two pasta dishes (the bolognese and amatriciana). They had trays of the fresh pasta for you to look at in a case right in the front and were helpful in selecting a fitting pasta for the sauce you were interested in. The Caesar was standard. Easily shareable. The slice of pizza, cut in 6 pieces, each about 2-2.5 inch squares, was warm, about an inch thick, had a great crust and char. The combo of the cheese, arugula and ham was outstanding. It was my favorite dish of the night. The pastas... my brother enjoyed his spaghetti bolognese and I enjoyed my pappardelle amatriciana. My dish had a nice kick. The pasta was cooked al dente. Just as warm and comforting as the food, were the owners. Honestly, they were engaging and I could tell they enjoyed what they were doing. I don't know if they routinely offer this to everyone, but they gave us a complimentary shot glass of this very rich Italian hot chocolate drink. It was delicious. I think one was plenty. Overall, I will be returning. This place is a total gem.

EDIT: Not too long after dining here, I tried a different restaurant that also specialized in fresh pastas. The price point is very similar to Fatto a Mano but I rated it 5 stars. If you're curious why, read my review here, the owners comments to my review, and compare it with my review for Nonna Mercato. If you want a TLDR -Great pasta but snarky owner who is doing himself a disservice. Go to Nonna Mercato instead. I'll be going there and not coming back here again. -------Adding to my review because of the snarky comments of the owner. See below. First, I do know how to make pasta from scratch and so make it myself at home. I have made cacio e pepe and most of the other pasta sauces/preparations this shop makes. I came here to try the food and the fresh pasta because I've heard good things about it and wanted to see if I can use it as a substitute to my own home made pasta for when I don't have the time. As I wrote in my original, shorter review which I have not changed, the quality is very good. I am not changing my rating just because of the snarky comments from the owner, but I will certainly think twice about coming back again. Heard about this pasta shop and lunch counter so one day I came here for a solo lunch. Ordered cacio e pepe and was very satisfied. It was excellent. However, it is a little pricey and given it's a no-frills kind of place, in my opinion, this is a spot to get fresh pasta when you want to upgrade your pasta dinner. Or if you want an indulgent lunch and don't want to make your own pasta. And the photo is from earlier this year. Yes, I'm always behind on writing reviews but the experience is factual and valid.
