Quite a bit better than last time. Was able to use both of our BOGO entree coupons, with no problems using it across the four of us with two separate checks. With it, the meals became a good value. Pint of Blue Moon on tap ($9.50) - continues to be one of my favorite beers, good with barbeque.Black Cherry Fizz with Tito's Vodka ($5) - definitely happy hour prices for this drink, well worth it.4 bone STL Louis Rib Platter ($22.99) - comes with two sides. The ribs were very good, meaty with a bit of chew, and the right amount of BBQ glazed sauce. The cole slaw was OK, the baked beans were good, the steak fries were excellent, and our friend really liked the sweet corn on the cob. The corn bread muffin was good, exactly the way it tastes at home when made from their brand muffin mix.2 meat combo ($26.99) - chose beef brisket, chopped pork, 1/4 bbq chicken, Southside rib tips. Sides were grilled pineapple, fries, macaroni and cheese, and broccoli. I got a taste of the grilled pineapple which tasted like you would imagine (surprised more meat centric restaurants don't do this).Service was solid.

We had lunch here today and were pleasantly surprised.Our waitress was great. She was prompt without being overbearing.The food was good. My husband had the smoked prime rib with the St Louis Ribs. It was beyond good. His sides were Cole slaw and some sort of homemade potato chips. To me they were just ok. The meat though, I was totally jealous I had the Korean chicken strips. They were ok, but nothing I would order again. My sides were corn and fries. The corn was those frozen half cobs and the fries were ok, nothing special.Next time I'm in Long Beach, I'll be back for what my husband ordered.

A good buddy of mine wanted for come here for lunch. I'm not exactly a big fan of BBQ, but I don't turn down free food. We ordered the Combo and I must say it is more than enough for the two of us. Came here on night one of a work conference trip and it was ok. Had the bbq pulled chicken sandwich, the chicken was dry and it over dressed with bbq sauce. I had a side of mashed potatoes and it was alright. My friend got a burger with fries and enjoyed it. It's a chain restaurant and the food was indicative of this. Staff was nice though and our server was great. It was Monday night so the football game was on the tvs which was appreciated!

The food was great; their beef brisket is delicious. I took a hot date and she had a salad. However, theres a conspiracy (you can say I started) I told my hot date about their sweet tea. The sweet tea is VERY good here, and you get a refill. Slight problem, when you get the refill, they bring you a different batch. Its like it's not sweet anymore, they must bring you the unsweetened stuff and hope that you dont notice. Its happened to me before on different occasions so, my hot date ordered one too and didn't drink hers. She waited for me to get my refill (the not good stuff) and compare it with hers. She didn't believe me at first but then after trying my refill and comparing it to hers she acknowledged that I was right. Has anyone ever noticed this? Please, I'd like to know if anyone has noticed this. Also, if you're a restaurant staff wink once to confirm.

I ordered the burnt ends. Came with 2 sides. Burnt ends were way over sauced and the sauce was heavy on the sodium side. Tried to doctor some up with a spicy sauce, but still didn't work. I hade double slaw for my sides. They were delicious. Corn cake was okay. Service was great. Maybe ask for BBQ sauce on he side next time. Ambiance was a home town country vibe. Place was clean.

I visited for the first time on a Saturday night, and was a little concerned about having to wait for a table, because it was Saturday night. However, I was very surprised to see the place was almost empty. No wait at all. So yay, we got seated right away. The no waiting was the only good part. The service was bad. The waitress never refilled our water, didn't ask us if we wanted another drink, didn't ask if we wanted dessert, nor asked how we were doing. We had to ask someone walking by for water and boxes for our food. The women's restroom was a mess. No toilet paper, no toilet seat covers. We spoke to the manager, but considering they were not busy at all, I don't think they had an excuse for the poor service nor the messy restrooms. I won't be going back.
