Needed fresh corn tortillas for dinner tonight and El Zocalo was recommended by another local business (Acacia Bakery y Tortilleria). $2 for 3 dozen fresh corn tortillas that are WARM?! Are you kidding?! I feel like this should Wilmington's guarded secret but it's too good not to share!Very excited for the tortillas and proximity to home. They have food too which smelled amazing, so I think we'll have to come back and try their menu too.We came early in the morning, so parking was easy. The parking lot is on the small side but there's street parking around too for when it's busy.

Terrible customer service they were extra my rude when I ordered. They even argued with me multiple times I've the phone and the guy pretended not to understand English so I spoke in Spanish then responded back in English it was weird

Smells like pee inside. Seriously. It's also very dirty and broken down. I'm surprised the health department hasn't shut this place down because it's really gross

Stood in a long line waiting to buy their oh so famous masa to make tamales. I was the only dark spot in the market meaning non-Hispanic. I get to the register and asked for 10lbs of masa. The cashier acted like she didn't understand me. She straight up purposely acted stupid and racist. So the male cashier comes over and ask if I wanted to buy tamales. I said NO! I want 10 lbs of masa. He said oh you want to make tamales. Ummm yeah! Is that a problem! I'm standing in this long ass line like everyone else wanting to buy masa for Christmas tamales. WTF! I guess black folk don't make tamales. The lady was rude and I feel $20.36 for 10 lbs of masa is a ripoff! I just know they gave me the black price. I will be going to Amapola next year my masa.

The place is dirty the food is bland taste like cardboard. Employees are rude and if you don't speak Spanish no one wants to help you. They got a guy selling bootleg movies and CD's. Homeless living in the parking lot. Drunks hanging out in the parking lot. Not a safe place. Found hair in my food, this place needs to be shut down!!!

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon with the family. We purchased the Carnitas family pack. The cashier was friendly and helpful. We ate in. The dining room tables and floors were dirty. The food was okay. We could barley speak or hear one another. The baker had the music in the dining room blasting!!!! We asked if they could lower it just a bit and he cracked the music up even higher, very rude customer service! Two good notes: pan dulce and horchata was greatWon't be spending out time and money here again

Came in to purchase pan de muerto and decided to get 6 pork tamales. My Spanish isn't the best, but when I walked in I was greeted and received help looking for my bread. They have a nice selection of breads. Parking lot is located in the rear of the restaurant. The tamales were okay. Plenty of meat and the masa was very okay to me. The tamales had just enough heat, but I hate that taste of refrigeration and that's what I got. There is a large sign stating "They have the best masa" I'm gonna have to disagree. These didnt taste fresh to me. I know you can freeze tamales, but for me after so many days of freeze and refrigeration they loose the freshness. My son who loves tamales didn't finish the tamale because he didn't like it. Prices seem reasonable and service was good, but this will be my last time here. Oh!!!! The pan de muerto was okay as well. My son compared what we bought to his teachers pan de muerto and said hands down hers was the best.This was a bit of a disappointment!!!!!

First time and last time at this place. Tacos were salty and had to ask for salsa and limes. Nachos we order with out pico and they still added to the nachos. Told the ladies about it and they said not one word to apologize or re do the order. Chicken tamales were so dry we had to toss them. When we were leaving we saw the employee serving the chips with her bare hands no tongs or gloves. Not one table that was available was clean.

Es una por queria de comida conpre un pollo Rostisado. Me dieron un piche pollo de ase un mes. No no no. Es una porqueria. Deberian deSerrar ese lugar pero ya

Absolutely loved our catering order. We ordered 4-3 foot burritos and they were all delicious! The chips and salsa were also perfect. I will be ordering again- and I completely recommend!
