Thought to have some menudo on Sunday morning and wanted to give El Torazo a try. They are on 10th and Temple. Not the greatest parking but you can usually find something. Looked at the restaurant and it said closed on the door and closed on one of the windows. I was about to to leave but tried the door and it was open. Go figure. Ordered the menudo and asked if I wanted everything inside. I said on the side, so they gave me a bunch of onions, lime, cilantro and chili flakes in some foil. They asked me what kind of tortillas and I asked for flour and they gave me about 5 small hot tortillas wrapped in foil. I was not impressed with the menudo. It did taste good, especially with all the condiments and dipping the tortilla into all the menudo goodness, but it had no hominy, just tripe. I was never asked if I wanted a pata (pig foot), but it was missing regardless. I also ordered a michelada and you get the option of beer, and got it with Modelo. Served in a big cup with tajin on the rim. It was very tasty.I think they need to work on their customer service and food preparation and options. Hopefully they work on that, until then , there are many other places to get a menudo in Long Beach, so I will give another place a try next time Im craving menudo.

My Dear Yelper's, I wish I could love this little quaint venue but I don't! The cashier was extremely dismissive and rude...why?!?!?!?! We asked her questions and as she answered, I wanted to leave. The smell and the cooks kept me there! Smelled delicious and cooks had a warm demeanor.Taco and Beer Tuesday's ($1.65 taco's and $1.50 light beer) and Taco and Beer Friday's is the highlight of this little venue! *Mexican Carne Asada Taco-Double mini tortilla (tortilla was slightly fried) was delicious, meat was tender and tasty, guacamole (45 cents extra) was freshly perfect *American Carne Asada Taco-Flour Tortilla, meat, lettuce and cheese was quite delicious *Mexican Carnitas Taco- exceptionally delicious *Jarritos (orange soda, $3.31) was nice and cold Would I return? Hmmmmm? I'd say yes! Toooo goood to pass up...only wish that their customer service was friendly. I removed two stars due to service.

Got the mahi mahi burrito and a california burrito for takeout. Food was ready super fast and the staff here is nice, but the inside of the california burrito was cold. Like - ice cold. I warmed it up in a pan on the stove, but it's weird that none of the ingredients in the burrito were hot enough even though it was definitely cooked through.

I didn't think value existed in restaurants anymore. This is a great neighborhood spot for taco Tuesday. 2 people eating with beers for under $20 . And the tacos were great. The guy at the counter taking orders is cool too . This is why I love Long Beach. Parking is not great so Uber or scooter or bike but other than that it's great.
