El Tarasco in North Redondo Beach is an absolute gem and my go-to spot for delicious Mexican food, fantastic service, and catching a game--all within a short walking distance from my house! The service here is top-notch. The staff makes you feel like family, whether you're dining in for the first time or you're a regular. They're super attentive and friendly, making sure your chips and salsa are constantly replenished--gratis, of course! Now, let's talk about the food--yummy tacos that hit the spot every time! The flavors are authentic, fresh, and never disappoint. They also have great draft beer selections to wash it all down, and the happy hour here is one of the best around! You can't beat the prices for quality drinks and bites. It's also an incredible place to watch a game. They've got big screens, a laid-back atmosphere, and enough energy to make game days fun. The place always has a welcoming vibe, perfect for grabbing a bite with friends or solo.El Tarasco is hands down one of the best neighborhood spots for good eats, good drinks, and good times. Highly recommend!

I haven't been to an El Tarasco in many years. There's a ton of them scattered throughout Southern California This one in particular I visited because it was extremely close to my girlfriends place. Like a half of a block close. Convenient.Three of us took a stroll to the restaurant at about 6pm on a weekday night. It was a bit chilly so we opted to sit indoors. The place is small and there's only a few booths inside, but luckily for us one was open, so we piled in.Our server was a very nice lady. She was the only one taking orders, but she was keeping up with the small crowd. We quickly were served chips and salsa and our drink order was taken. I got a Jarritos Pina soda. That stuff is so good, but at Tarasco, it's four bucks a pop! That's 33 cents an ounce!A bit excessive I'd say. You may want to stick to water to pare down the bill a bit. They serve beer and wine. Maybe I should have had one of those instead. It may have impaired me to the point where I wouldn't be bitching about the price. The food is decent. It's good, but not off the wall, bowl you over good. It's like I remembered from previous visits at other locations. That's probably why it's been years since I've been to one. I'll go again, but only because the void needs to be filled. Give it a try. My ho-hum may not be your ho-hum, and you'll be saying, 'that Alex J doesn't know what he's talking about '. Although he's right on about the price of that soda. Four bucks!! Gulp!! No! Don't gulp! Savor it cause every sip is like a quarter. Quick Tip: It'll be noisy. Artesia is right out the door. The inside is also open to the outside so you won't get a respite from the engines. If your governor gets his way the noise will die down in the coming years, (electric car mandate). Then you won't have an excuse to not listen to a yapping loved one.

Pretty clean spot even though it's small. I got the fish taco combo, which wasn't all that special but it was filling. I will give this place another try with another dish. Unfortunately, the waiter on the register wasn't able to confirm the kind of fish Big plus are the late hours and multiple screens to watch sports while dining. Beware, the seating is a hybrid patio so it can get pretty cold, dress warm at night, although there is a heater outside, that helps.

Not bad for a Friday Happy Hour menu!! Who can resist $2 street tacos and by the way delicious and 4 is enough to make anyone full. Carne Asada was not best in their crunchy taco style, bet tasted better in a soft warm tortilla. They do give you a complimentary large tortilla chips whole verses normal bite size. Oh and the shrimp taco was delicious plus shrimp larger than the tiny ones lol. Street parking free and also some out back. Can fit 3 ppl or 4 in a booth and this location is smaller compared to the other one which perhaps is another Redondo location?! Seating outside if you like ppl watching or traffic to Artesia Blvd. I would definitely come back for a quick meal with friends :)

This is the newest location! I have been waiting what seems like forever for this location to open Soooo excited! The restaurant is bright and inviting. This place used to be an auto body shop. pretty neat how it wasThe garage door is pulled up which opens up the restaurant to an open floor plan concept. The mariachi music playing in the background is upbeat & festive. There is patio seating with 4-5 tables. Inside there are 4 booths and 1 table. There is a table for a large party of 6 that sits between the patio and inside the restaurant. The food was delicious, fresh & filling. Love that their salsa is just the right kick and not over spicy and burning. We got refills for our drinks, chips and salsa. Son enjoyed their jamaica. Server always checked on us too. Our food came out fairly quickly. Husband had enchiladas and taco, son had the machaca wet burrito and I had the carne asada plate. Rice was fluffy, not sticky and no hard/uncooked grains. Beans were really good. Fish Taco was good too.Taco shell was crunchy. Son's burrito was big and devoured completely. My carne asada was full of flavor. The dollop of guacamole was so good. Next time I am ordering guacamole to eat with the chips. Can't wait to go back. Love that this location is closer to me too. Food is good like all the other local El Tarasco in the area.

Chips and Salsa - free, good tasting salsa! They give whole tostada's that you break up which is good so you know how much chips you're really eatingEnchilada combo - meat and sauce lacked flavor and were kind of dry. Luckily I had lots of salsa left over to drench it inThis place is probably good if you're used to American style food. Also the staff were nice

We tried this place for dinner tonight and definitely my favorite location. My apologies, didn't take pictures of all meals. Food was delicious and fresh! My favorite thing, was top notch service by our lovely waitress- Monica. I swear she can run the whole place by herself. Super sweet and attentive. Enjoyed the indoor / outdoor feel, like I am enjoying dinner in my backyard. Ask for Monica during your next visit.
