I ordered a chile relleno burrito. It was good till my 3rd bite. Unfortunately they microwave their food. I had a piece of plastic plate in my burrito. A good size piece with a design & all. I don't think I will return. I can microwave my food at home!!!!!!! What a shame.

STILL my favorite place for tortas. I used to work @the Home Depot down the street from here so I regularly ordered tortas for my co-workers and I. After moving back to Carson, I decided to check in and see if they still sell Mexican food inside the Liquor store (Mundo's).......YUP, same owner making the food and he still looks the same (hope I age gracefully too ). Bought 4 tortas de carne asada and when we got home everyone devoured it; I think next time we'll order extra lol. Now the place isn't the best looking but I wasn't planning on sitting there anyways; just order to go and enjoy your torta or taco at home or even in your car . Will definitely be going back for more.

El Rinconcito is located inside the Mundo Liquor & Mart. This isn't your typical Disneyland style haven quik-e-mart. It's grimey, muggy, and probably should be doused with the strongest bleach available. Upon entering you'll notice the heavily barricaded cashier mean mugging you behind his bullet proof glass. Stand your ground but don't come off too aggressive, them Asians are packing heat no doubt. Give a simple acknowledgement and let him know that he's still the king of his castle. Cruise by the counter and onto El Rinconcito. The set up is big enough for five gnomes. The guy behind the register speaks English if you can't bust out any fragments of Espanola. The menu is simple: tortas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and mariscos. The prices are incredibly affordable. Tortas $4.25, burritos $3.99, and tacos are $1.25. Taco Tuesdays lower them down to a buck each. FYI, the tacos are those small bite sized ones but they don't skimp out on the meat or the usual toppings. A guy like me can probably polish four of them and not be overly stuffed.I've had their tacos and they were good but I wasn't oogling over them or anything. For a dollar and some change, I'm not going to b*tch either. I think the burritos are a better bet. So far I've had the carne asada and the chicken. The pollo surprisingly had much more flavors that hit the spot. At first glance, the burrito doesn't look too grande but after you finish it, you should be in a good state of mind. If you want to pig beast it, order yourself a burrito and taco. It'll still under $6. Maybe next time I'll give their beef tongue (lengua) taco a shot. The sauce bar looks like it's going to give you the poopies for days but that's the chance you're going to have to take. Having Mexican food without the proper salsa is like eating sushi without the wasabi and soy sauce. They had three different salsas at the time: green, orange red, and red. All were pretty much the same to me. Like the Gooch, I also pillaged their carrots but left the jalapenos out of my baggy. If you want lemon or radish, I believe you have to ask them for it. Also, you can gringo out your tacos and burritos by adding items such as cheese, avocados, and sour cream but it will come with an extra $.50 cents or so. For what it's worth, El Rinconcito is one of the better options for Mexican food within the area. There are many competitors around but their burrito is solid and worth revisiting. Like I stated before, the prices are set for all commoners. You probably walk around with the newest Iphone or Samsung, so there's no reason to get bent out of shape for a $4 burrito. They seriously need to do something about the ventilation in the entire place though. It's not fun when it's 90+ outside and the place doesn't have AC or any fans. I highly recommend take out as opposed to dining in. Plus you don't want to be half way through a burrito and all of a sudden, the liquor store gets rolled on.Props to the homie at work who I will refer to as the Mexican "Pitbull" for continuously looking for new joints to try like this place. Hell, the guy walks over to our cubicles and asks, "What's for lunch?" at 7:10am when our shift starts at 7am. Go on with your bad self playa.

This hole in the wall is appropriately named, El Rinconcito which means The Corner and this taco spot is literally located in the corner, inside a liquor store! A co-worker and I came here for lunch. I ordered 3 tacos; pastor, carne asade and carnitas. My co-worker ordered the carne asada burrito. They don't have drinks, but the shop is inside a liquor store so grab whatever you like. Next time, I think I'll grab a tall can and see if they let me drink it while I chow down. There's maybe about 5 seats along a counter that faces the cook and every seat was available when we walked in but you could easily take it to go if it's crowded. The tacos came packed with meat and the the usual radish, cilantro, onions and hot sauce. The meat was dripping with juice and sauce on every bite and each tacos was bursting with flavor and spice. My co-worker's burrito was a solid size, packed with meat, queso, pinto beans (not refried), avocado, onions and hot sauce. He loved every bite and I'd definitely try a burrito next time. There's tortas and quesadillas, all dirt cheap and delicious. Cannot wait to come back with more friends, drink tall boys and get all Tijauana in there!

El Rinconcito has the best carne asada tortas I have ever tasted. It's a little restaurant with a few chairs in the back of a little liquor store (Mundos liquor), but put that out of your mind. It's all part of the experience. First you order your food, then you walk over to the drink section of the liquor store and you buy yourself a drink. By then your food is half way done. Don't take it home, eat it there. Once again it's all part of the experience. My cousin Danny would drive from Fullerton to Carson just to have one of these fine sandwiches. Why? Because they're consistently delicious. He would always say " I've had tortas from all over the world but Mundos (aka El Rinconcito)makes the best." Stop by and get yourself a carne asada torta con queso. You won't regret it. Tell them Danny Sanchez sent you.

Best hole in the wall ever!!! Yes they are inside a liquor store, but if you're smart, you will go in and meet owners. They are really the nicest people. But come on this YELP, you wanna know about the food!!!The food is on point! Everything is delicious but let me tell you, the Al Pastor is the best in the area!!!! Have a torta, taco, burrito, quesadilla... whatever!!!! It will be great!I recently had them cater an 80+ person house party for me. Hooray for the Best Taco Man/Woman ever!!!!! Asada, Carnitas, Lengua, Al Pastor, Chicken, Chorizo, all the fixings & they brought Aguas frescas!!!! They served tacos, tortas & quesadillas. They brought the plates, napkins, cups & utensils. They were so very professional and ever so friendly.
