Service good. Ambiance good it's just as regularly normally is. Clean area as always. This is my gripe. , ; (This restaurant has lost their mind I know we have corporations raising food prices left and right but El Pollo Loco really why did you go this far chicken is not that expensive are you really that greedy. This was one of my favorite go to spots when I didn't want to cook and that tradition is done forever with this restaurant. I'm no hater but this is wrong all money isn't good money corporate greed will do in good restaurants with good names and customers loyalty behind them. I ordered a 2 piece leg and thigh meal two small sides they're pushing it calling them small sides they're tiny it's absolutely ridiculous look at the pictures I took. $9.99 for this GTFOH. BRC Was laughable it was soo tiny it fits in the palm of my hands $3.40 get outta here. I ordered two extra legs at another location because I was like there's no fn way they're small and they are extra small too. LmaoAnyway that's it buy this chicken at your own risk because it's tiny this gals going back old school and buying a whole chicken marinating that bad boy and roasting it at home. El Pollo Loco consistently sends paper coupons in our weekly flyer, so we decided to take advantage of one for a weekday lunch. Our goal was not to have leftovers to take back home (since we walked), and it worked...left after eating in, pretty satisfied.The coupon was for $4 off a 2 person, 4 piece dark meat meal with 2 small sides. It's $13.99 normally, so under 10 bucks with coupon. Their mobile app makes it seem like you can apply the coupon on a pre-order, but it didn't work so we ended up ordering through a cashier who applied the coupon and gave it right back (in fact, she had a coupon sheet with her so would have applied it without a paper coupon if you ask). The soda fountain is self serve with water, so got one really small complementary cup.It takes a really long time for your number to be called (over 10 minutes), but it was clear they were serving in FIFO order. And the A/C was just cranking, making it a good place to hang out on this unusually hot day.The food was good: got two thighs and two drumsticks, both having been freshly chopped after grilling. I really like the chicken skin at El Pollo, and it was really good here. It came with two sides: broccoli and mexican rice...both were fine. It also comes with two side salads (which were very large and came with a very good avocado dressing), and the 2 chorros were excellent. A full meal for two (minus drinks) for under 10. Hard to beat.

My favorite location here in Long Beach, they are very fast at the drive-thru and always super nice!! They offer freshly cooked chicken and tortilla soup that is really filling and under 700 calories There's not much else to say if you're looking for lunch and have limited time. Maybe this place may could be be the spot.

This was very good for fast food, it was like eating a home cooked meal. I was actually surprised at how good it was. Typically fast food is so greasy and bad for you, but I didn't feel sick or have heartburn after this meal. Highly recommend for a cheap meal.

In my previous review I said they should either FIRE all the staff and the management, or just shut this place down. They still haven't taken my advice. This is still the worst El Pollo Loco I have ever visited. They remodeled and it looks nicer now, but still the same idiotic, LAZY employees and poor management.I went in to get the 16-piece Family Dinner. There was literally ONE person eating inside, and maybe 2 cars in the drive-thru. I could see that they had the entire grill full of chicken and most of it looked ready to serve, but these clowns said it would take 30-40 MINUTES to get our order!!! WTF??! They had like 5 employees in the kitchen but everyone was in a circle, gossiping or some other bullshit.I left and went to the EPL on Anaheim, where it took about 5-10 minutes to get our order. What a joke. This LB Blvd location is literally 2 blocks from our house but I will NEVER eat here again, I'll take my business to the Anaheim one even if it's a few miles away.

I wouldn't even be eating here if my husband didn't put a gun to my head. But even with my already low expectations, they managed to disappoint even further... we ordered the crispy tacos (DON'T DO IT). The shells on the tacos were DRENCHED in grease. I'm talking soupy grease spilling all over my clothes and arms. My hands were so oily I had to wash them twice. On top of that, the chicken had weird fatty pieces and chunks of BONES. Both tacos. Lastly, since this was a to go order and we were traveling, I was expecting a fork with the Mac n cheese we ordered. NOPE. Guess I'm eating it with my greasy fingers? How do they do it?!
