Rolling Hills Estates, CA. In a shopping mall close to the Palisades, I came here with family as this was a local and favorite spot for rotisserie chicken, which happens to be Peruvian. You walk in and you are in this immense dining room with large and beautifully memorable murapics of Peru, a nice and comfy space, tables and booths, a full bar and super helpful staff. We came around 1p and was served lunch immediately. The Peruvian chicken with flavors or cumin, garlic, cilantro was out of this world good. It was juicy, well seasoned and crave worthy. We also loved the chicken and rice soupAnother standout was the platanos; firm, ripe, nicely crisp on the outside from the caramelized sugar, we fought for the last bite. Lol. The Lucuma ice cream was super delicious --- with favors of brown butter, maple syrup, cinnamon was so good, we ordered a Togo cup. And it was not sweet. I've had the fruit in Asia and like it. This ice cream version tho' is fire. !Service was super attentive and upbeat. I've never had such a welcoming environment in a restaurant in LA. Love love love EPI and am coming back, without a doubt. End of Yelp.

My family and I love this place and have for years. We just haven't frequented it much until somewhat recently. Most of all, the happy hour, probably the only one on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, is what has drawn us in lately.I love a good deal and the HH is great (Monday - Friday 2:30-6pm and late night Fridays 9-10pm, I believe). There's a fairly wide variety of HH appetizers at reasonable and reduced prices and the drink specials are great. I think cocktails are $8 if I recall correctly. I blame my possible inability to remember on the many Pisco Sours, Spicy Margs and Chilcano de Maracuyas....The Pisco Sours are delish as are the Spicy Margs. The Chilcano is a little sweet for my liking. The HH prices on beer and wine are great too.Really, every food item on the HH menu is fantastic. Last time, we had the calamari, the skewers, fries and trio of ceviches.Another good deal they offer are lunch specials. The menu is huge and even a bit overwhelming but there truly is something for everyone. Our family go to is definitely the Pollo a la Brasa (rotisserie chicken with 2 sides; we usually get rice and beans which are great). Entrees typically include the delicious Aguadito de Pollo soup and rolls with the ridiculously addicting Aji Verde (green sauce) which I use liberally. Make sure to try the spicier Aji Ceviche (red sauce); it's awesome as well and I have no idea why they call it that. You can get a chicken 'combo' for $13 which includes 1/4 chicken, soup, salad, rice, beans and an Inka Cola; it's a fantastic deal. For the several visits after first discovering the El Pollo Inka chain down in Torrance (RIP Ed Debevics), I always ordered the Lomo Saltado ($17; beef sauteed with french fries, onion, tomato, cilantro and green onion). It comes with the soup and rice and is delicious.I've since branched out and tried the following dishes over the years:SECO DE CORDERO ($18): Lamb stew with rice and beans. It's amazing and a lot like Osso Buco. This was recommended by our server and I was blown away by this dish.PICANTE DE POLLO ($15): Chicken in a spicy cream sauce with potatoes, a boiled egg and rice. Also recommended by our server and it surprised me; I liked it a lot.SUDADO CHALACO ($26) / PARIHUELA ($20): Fish stew; think like Bouillabaisse. The former is an entree; the latter is an appetizer. I haven't had this in a long while and I honestly can't remember which I had or what the difference between the two is! Whatever one I had was very good. I'm a big Cioppino snob and this one was definitely satisfying.PESCADO A LO MACHO ($20): Fish, shrimp and calamari in a spicy, creamy Aji Amarillo and garlic sauce, served over a fried fish filet; comes with rice. This was recommended to me most recently and it was fantastic. I certainly wouldn't have thought to order this but I'm glad I did.Ambiance is really quite nice (it still reminds me of Marmalade Cafe) and they have live music some nights. Booths are comfy and the bar area is large and one of the only bars on the hill.Service is good. Occasionally it can be a little slow but remember that aside from the always packed Red Onion, it is super hard to predict and staff restaurants on the hill. Owners never know how the days and nights are going to go; they could be dead or have a big rush because of a play at the Norris Thea, uh, I mean The Palos Verdes Performing Arts Center next door.On our most recent visit, we had the great pleasure of meeting the friendly and gracious owner. They were shooting some advertisement pictures at the table across from us and we enjoyed the live music as well as her hospitality. She sent us over a giant plate of all of their desserts on the house! While most restaurants on the hill sadly die over time (hello? remember the great Marmalade Cafe that was in this location previously?? that place was fantastic!), I'm glad El Pollo Inka has survived and it's for good reason. While the restaurant is never packed, I'm sure they do a hell of a takeout business.I think the only squabble I have (and I really don't have a squabble) is that there are TWO El Pollo Inkas on the hill (I know, I know...the other one is owned by a sibling but TWO?? And of course, we've ordered from the other one too). Oh, another problem I have is remembering the NAMES OF THE DISHES I LIKE! Like every darn time! Luckily, there are some pictures of some dishes on the menu and a monitor in the restaurant lobby shows some as well and the staff is always helpful in helping me remember or directing me to something new.My family and I look forward to enjoying El Pollo Inka in many, many years to come!

There are two Peruvian restaurants on the hill. Inka wasi is more "casual", but the prices are essentially the same. So we always tend toward el polo Inca 1- the location is classier. 2- they have a full bar3- check in on Yelp and get a free soda 4- full table service Food- I swear they must share the same kitchen. -The aguadito soup is amazing! Great starter. Comes with the meal- I typically get the saltado, which is awesome. But I tried the vainta de pollo. It's essentially a mix with green beans instead of French fries. Yes , it was healthier and it was good but ... I did miss the fries - the green sauce. It's a mystery what it is. But it is awesome. You get a huge squeeze bottle on the table. Happy days!Come by, enjoy. They have a great outdoor seating location available for those warm California days

Great food as always, classic go to is their chaufa (fried rice) + tallarin (noodles). Ambiance is nice for get together, large booths. Lariah is a very sweet and helpful employee working the counter.

Another El Pollo Inka where the quality of the food is consistently good. The parking access is a little annoying though so we only pickup food here when I'm already in the area for other errands.
